Background: While radiation-induced lung injury decreases quality of life and suppresses efficacy of radiotherapy, to date, the relationship between radiation-induced lung injury and repair remains unclear. Our previous studies revealed that TNFRSF10B-RIPK1/RIPK3-MLKL signaling induces necroptosis of alveolar epithelial cells and potentiates radiation-induced lung injury. We also found that microRNA-541-3p is differentially expressed in radiation-damaged lungs.

Method: We utilized large-scale plasma and brain protein quantitative trait loci (pQTL) datasets from the deCODE Health study and the Religious Orders Study/Rush Memory and Aging Project (ROS/MAP), respectively. Proteome-wide association studies (PWAS) were conducted using the OTTERS framework for plasma proteins and the FUSION tool for brain proteins, examining associations with PD onset and three progression phenotypes: composite, motor, and cognitive.
Droplet electrodispersion is a fundamental phenomenon in various fields, such as electric demulsification, electrospray, and microfluidic manipulation. Electric-magnetic coupling technology, as an emerging noncontact method, shows substantial potential in modulating droplet electrohydrodynamics, yet the influence characteristics and mechanisms of coupled magnetic fields on droplet electrodispersion remain poorly understood. To address this gap, we conducted a detailed molecular dynamics simulation comparing the breakup dynamics of salt-containing droplets under a single electric field versus an electric-magnetic coupling field.

Studies have emphasized the importance of microglia in the progression and development of AD. Interferon responses and Interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs) significantly function in neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases involving AD.

Despite many reports on the pharmacokinetics of PZQ, the stereoselective pharmacokinetics of PZQ and its major metabolite 4-hydroxypraziquantel (4-OH-PZQ) remain poorly understood in goats. In this study, the chiral LC-MS/MS method was further optimized for separating and quantifying PZQ, trans-4-OH-PZQ, and cis-4-OH-PZQ and their enantiomers and then applied for the molecular pharmacokinetics of three analytes in black goat plasma.

Methods: This study is a scale development and validation study using a three-stage cross-sectional design. In stage 1, a preliminary item pool is formed using literature review, semi-structured interviews and the Delphi method.
We present a streamlined methodology that integrates regioselective tetrahalogen-BODIPY and -hydroxyphenylboronic acid in a one-pot process, leveraging SAr nucleophilic substitution in conjunction with Suzuki coupling to afford diarenofuran []-fused BODIPYs (-) with commendable yields (85-95%) and short reaction times (0.5-1.0 h).

The findings were analyzed to evaluate the potential health hazards posed to the local population through consumption. The metals were detected via inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) for quantification.

This study presents a novel approach to simulate real MH and precisely determine the temperature of the target region within biological tissues using a temporal-informed neural network. We conducted MH experiments on 30 sets of phantoms and 10 sets of ex vivo pork tissues.

However, the dynamic impact mechanism of electromagnetic fields on the internal structure of salt droplets remains unclear. In this study, the molecular dynamics (MD) simulation was used to investigate the molecular diffusion of salt ions and water molecules, as well as the dynamic behavior of droplets under the combined influence of electromagnetic fields.

This study aimed to assess the relationship between sleep quality, hydration status, and plain water intake in pregnant women.
Methods: A cross-sectional study method was used to collect data from 380 pregnant women with regular examinations at the hospital between May 2019 and February 2021.
Drug combinations and repurposing have recently provided promising alternatives to cope with the increasingly severe issue of antibiotic resistance and depletion of natural drug molecular repertoires that undermine traditional antibacterial strategies. Closantel, an effective adjuvant, reverses antibiotic resistance in gram-negative bacteria. Herein, the combined antibacterial enantioselectivity of closantel is presented through separate enantiomer studies.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate pregnant women's total fluid intake (TFI) levels, hydration status, and body composition and further explore their relationship with infant birth weight.
Flotation technology is widely utilized to remove emulsified oil droplets from Produced water. Organic acid adsorption on the oil droplet surface affects bubble attachment, reducing oil removal efficiency. This investigation exploited the principle of similar dissolution to synthesize condensate bubbles (CB).

Temperature fluctuations can induce spectral shift, directly impacting the accuracy of spectral measurements, subsequently influencing the precision of radiometric measurements. To address this issue, this study investigates a dual-channel UV imaging spectrometer.

Respiratory pathogens pose a huge threat to public health, especially the highly mutant RNA viruses. Therefore, reliable, on-site, rapid diagnosis of such pathogens is an urgent need. Traditional assays such as nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) have good sensitivity and specificity, but these assays require complex sample pre-treatment and a long test time.

Prior investigations have shown that mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) with better biocompatibility compared to azathioprine (AZA), and can prevent relapses of NMOSD, but the efficacy was controversially reported in different NMOSD cases. We aimed to explore the factors that weaken efficacy of MMF in NMOSD.

The study investigates the initiation and propagation of under deposit corrosion (UDC) using a wire beam electrode (WBE) partially covered by different mineral deposit layers, in conjunction with electrochemical measurements and surface characterization. The results indicate that the corrosion behavior varies, depending on the characteristics of the deposit.
