[Conflicts and dilemmas of nurses who work in surgical centers of macro-regional hospitals].

This research aimed at describing the conflicts and ethical dilemmas experienced by twelve nurses working in Surgical Centers of macro-regional hospitals in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The analysis of the interview data was carried out through the Content Analysis technique. The data were discussed through technical-deontologica base and communicative action theory.

Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy and photodynamic therapy with verteporfin.

Background: We evaluated, in a nonrandomised, institutional, prospective study, the efficacy of photodynamic therapy (PDT) with verteporfin in age-related macular degeneration (AMD) eyes with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) and subfoveal exudation.
