Background: Plant-based dietary patterns are becoming increasingly popular due to environmental and health impacts, yet there are few studies exploring the relationship between plant-based dietary patterns and venous thromboembolism (VTE) in different genetic backgrounds.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate how plant-based dietary pattern and genetic susceptibility independently or jointly affect VTE and its subtypes of pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis.
Methods: A total of 183,510 participants who were White British ethnicity background and free of VTE at baseline in the UK Biobank were recruited, in consideration that the selection of genetic variants for VTE was based on results of White European individuals.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate factors influencing fetal growth restriction (FGR) occurrence and assess the clinical significance of fetal cardiac parameters in FGR prediction.
Methods: Pregnant women with clinically suspected FGR (n=179) and uncomplicated pregnancies (n=53) were included. All had undergone routine obstetric ultrasonography and fetal echocardiography.
Background: The study explored the prognostic value of caudal-type homeobox transcription factor 2 (CDX2) in stage II and III gastric cancer.
Methods: This study evaluated the expression level of CDX2 in gastric cancer in a hospital cohort (n=197) using immunohistochemistry. According to a semiquantitative score used to determine CDX2 expression, the cases were divided into a low CDX2 group (116 cases) and a high CDX2 group (81 cases).
This study evaluated the responses of sweet potatoes to Cadmium (Cd) stress through pot experiments to theoretically substantiate their comprehensive applications in Cd-polluted agricultural land. The experiments included a CK treatment and three Cd stress treatments with 3, 30, and 150 mg/kg concentrations, respectively. Herein, blue-fluorescent carbon quantum dots (k-CQDs) were successfully synthesized by a simple one-step hydrothermal method using chitosan and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid as precursors.
