Cobalt-based catalysts have emerged as promising substitutes for Pt- and Cr-based propane dehydrogenation (PDH) catalysts. However, controlling the distribution of Co species and achieving stable active centers remains challenging. Here, we report that reaction-driven reconstruction of metallic cobalt (Co0) species within pure silica MFI zeolite (S-1) into CoOx clusters within silanol nests during PDH yields efficient and durable performance.

Background: Auricular deformities are common in newborns and require early diagnosis and timely intervention. Several factors highlight the necessity of a machine learning-based diagnostic solution: the high prevalence of these conditions, the narrow time window for effective non-surgical treatment, limited medical resources, and the importance of both physical and mental well-being. This study presents a novel artificial intelligence (AI) model to identify and classify common sub-types of auricle deformities, using photos taken with mobile devices.

The ongoing emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) variants has led to resistance against multiple coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines and therapeutic medications, making the development of effective therapeutics against SARS-CoV-2 a high priority. Studies have shown that bioactive polyphenols, particularly those with triphenol groups, can effectively inhibit the activity of SARS-CoV-2 3-chymotrypsin-like protease (3CL). However, the structural instability of polyphenols necessitates further research.

This paper studies the problem of mean square exponential stability (ES) for a class of impulsive stochastic infinite-dimensional systems with Poisson jumps (ISIDSP) using aperiodically intermittent control (AIC). It provides a detailed analysis of impulsive disturbances, and the related inequalities are given for the two cases when the impulse perturbation occurs at the start time points of the control and rest intervals or non-startpoints, respectively. Additionally, in virtue of Yosida approximating systems, combining with the Lyapunov method, graph theory and the above inequalities, criteria for ES of the above impulsive stochastic infinite-dimensional systems are established under AIC for these two perturbation scenarios.

Deconstructive transformation of carbon-carbon double bonds (C=C) is a pivotal strategy in synthetic chemistry and drug discovery. Despite the substantial advances in olefin metathesis and ozonolysis for natural product synthesis through C=C double-bond cleavage, the catalytic remodeling of complex molecules through C=C double-bond deconstruction has been underdeveloped. We report a heterogeneous copper-catalyzed C=C double-bond cleavage, which enables the remodeling of complex molecules by converting the carbons on either side of the C=C double bond to carbonyl and cyano groups, respectively.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are differentially expressed in cardiac hypertrophy; however, the exact function and mechanisms during hypertrophy development are still unknown. Here, we explored the role of a newly discovered circRNA in the pathogenesis of myocardial hypertrophy. It was found that circ-0001283 promoted the progression of cardiac hypertrophy by interacting with myosin light chain 3 (MYL3) to inhibit the protein ubiquitination and enhance its protein expression, not by the competitive endogenous RNA mechanism.

The tumor suppressor p53, an indispensable nuclear transcription factor, plays a central role in orchestrating cellular responses when DNA damage occurs. In this study, we demonstrate that in the initial phases of DNA double-strand break (DSB) repair, p53 is rapidly recruited to sites of damage and the surrounding chromatin, where it enhances DSB repair efficiency. This enhancement occurs through the modulation of chromatin dynamics and the promotion of a more relaxed chromatin configuration, a process influenced by p53 in response to DSB-inducing factors such as etoposide, ultraviolet radiation, and nucleases.

Protrusive facial deformities, characterized by the forward displacement of the teeth and/or jaws beyond the normal range, affect a considerable portion of the population. The manifestations and morphological mechanisms of protrusive facial deformities are complex and diverse, requiring orthodontists to possess a high level of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the relevant orthodontic field. To further optimize the correction of protrusive facial deformities, this consensus proposes that the morphological mechanisms and diagnosis of protrusive facial deformities should be analyzed and judged from multiple dimensions and factors to accurately formulate treatment plans.
