BDM-resistant cultivar 'Mrihani' (MRI) was identified in a germplasm screen, and bred with BDM-susceptible 'Newton' (SB22) to produce resistant cultivars, but the molecular mechanisms conferring resistance in MRI and the progeny remained unknown.

This study investigates how social support mediates prescribing behavior through psychosocial factors, providing insights into healthcare decision-making. A cross-sectional survey of 720 healthcare professionals was conducted, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to evaluate the mediating roles of self-efficacy, knowledge and skills, and health beliefs.

In this single-arm, open-label, phase II trial (NCT04745130), we evaluate the efficacy and safety of the combination therapy of antiangiogenesis (regorafenib) and ICI (sintilimab) in patients with MSS mCRC. The primary endpoint is overall survival (OS).

In this study, we found that GHR upregulates SOCS2 expression, whereas KIT mutations, the key driver mutations of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), inhibits SOCS2 expression in GISTs. Furthermore, SOCS2 associated and inhibited the activation of KIT mutations, but not wild-type KIT, in addition to its inhibition of GHR signaling, suggesting that KIT mutations may promote their activation by downregulation of SOCS2 expression.

The ultrasensitive piezoelectric sensors with the capability of sound recognition have attracted extensive attention due to their unique characteristics. However, the fabrication of acoustic sensors with favorable flexibility and sensitivity via simple and controllable methods remains a significant challenge. Herein, an ultrasensitive and adaptive acoustic sensor based on piezoelectric polyimide (PI) composite foams containing fluorine groups is developed.

Virtual reality technology has been widely applied in the field of mental health research. However, to date, no study has employed bibliometric methods to systematically analyze the application of virtual reality in mental health. By searching the Web of Science Core Collection, we have summarized the top 100 cited papers in this field and conducted the first bibliometric study on mental health and virtual reality using CiteSpace.

The efficient detection of the aggregation state of Aβ holds significant promise for the early diagnosis and subsequent treatment of this neurodegenerative disorder. Currently, most of the fluorescent probes used for the detection of Aβ fibrils share similar recognition moieties, such as the ,-dimethylamino group, ,-diethylamino group, and piperidyl group.

Given the high prevalence of comorbidities among these disorders, we conducted an umbrella review to comprehensively assess the efficacy of BSTs in treating the core symptoms across these three categories of disorders.
Methods: We systematically searched for meta-analyses and network meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials with sham controls up to September 25, 2024, from databases including PubMed, PsycINFO, Embase, and the Cochrane Library.
Introduction: Time banking, known as "Community/Neighborhood Pension," instantiates a form of co-creation that can provide a new solution to fulfil the unmet social service needs of community members with idle resources, which is a feasible solution to alleviate pension pressure. The sustainable operation of time banks relies on the co-creation and active participation of community members. Therefore, in this study, we investigate the motivation of members to participate in web-based time banks from a service requirement narrative perspective.

Recent evidence demonstrated the addition of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) inhibitors enhanced therapeutic efficacy. However, the mechanisms of response and resistance remain largely undefined.

Epigenetic reprogramming is a recently proposed hallmark of malignancy; therefore, targeting epigenetic enzymes might provide a novel therapeutic strategy for OS lung metastasis. We recently reported that ailanthone (AIL), a natural product isolated from the Chinese medicinal plant Ailanthus altissima, inhibits OS cell growth and induces substantial metabolic changes; however, its direct targets remain unclear.

Although such memristors often exhibit high ON/OFF ratios and exceptional pulse response characteristics, they have also to face some challenges concerning reusability and switching cycles, which arise from the filament instability issues. Here we propose a modulation strategy to improve performance of 2D-material memristors with synaptic and flexible features.

The platform currently has two distinct identification modes, which focus on identifying five amino acids, namely phenylalanine, methionine, lysine, leucine, and threonine, and five carbohydrates, namely aspartame, fructose, glucose, lactose monohydrate, and sucrose based on their THz spectra. The first mode, called One-dimensional THz Spectrum Identification (OTSI), combines THz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) with the proposed mini convolutional neural network (MCNN) model.

Methods: We conducted a systematic review following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses and Meta-analysis of Observational Studies in Epidemiology guidelines, searching electronic databases up to January 2024 to assess SRS's impact on post-treatment hemorrhage rates. Pooled risk ratios (RRs) and confidence intervals were used to quantify this effect, along with assessments of lesion volume changes, seizure outcomes, and SRS-related adverse effects.
On top of genetic information, organisms have evolved complex and sophisticated epigenetic regulation to adjust gene expression in response to developmental and environmental signals. Key epigenetic mechanisms include DNA methylation, histone modifications and variants, chromatin remodeling, and chemical modifications of RNAs. Epigenetic control of environmental responses is particularly important for plants, which are sessile and unable to move away from adverse environments.
