Discovery of novel benzo[b][1,4]oxazine derivatives as ferroptosis inhibitors.

Ferroptosis is a novel type of programmed cell death characterized by radical-driven lipid peroxidation accumulation, which is involved in various diseases, including acute organ injury and neurodegenerative disorders. Pharmacological inhibition of ferroptosis is a promising strategy for treating these diseases. In this study, 16 benzo[b][1,4]oxazine derivatives were synthesized and assayed for their antiferroptotic activity.

Sciatic nerve injury treated by acupuncture: a bibliometric study and visualization analysis.

Objective: Sciatic nerve injuries often lead to severe pain and motor dysfunction, causing serious impact on patients' quality of life. Acupuncture, as one of the main therapies in traditional Chinese medicine, is gradually gaining attention in the field of nerve injury due to its potential role in pain relief and nerve repair. Bibliometric and scientific knowledge mapping methods were employed to analyze the current research status, hotspots, and development trends of acupuncture for sciatic nerve injury (SNI) over the past decade.

Marek's disease virus (MDV)-encoded U3 is a highly conserved serine/threonine protein kinase in alpha-herpesviruses. In other alpha-herpesviruses, such as pseudorabies virus (PRV), U3 phosphorylates the N6-methyladenosine (mA) methyltransferase Wilms tumor 1-associated protein (WTAP), inhibiting mA modification. However, the role and mechanism of U3-mediated WTAP phosphorylation during MDV infection remain undefined.

A network meta-analysis for efficacies and toxicities of different therapeutic regimens in the treatment of advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Purpose: The current study set out to compare the efficacies and toxicities (grad 3 and 4) between concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT), induction chemotherapy plus radiotherapy (IC + RT), IC + CCRT, RT and CCRT + adjuvant chemotherapy (CCRT + AC) in regard to advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) treatment using a network meta-analysis.

A Multilevel Analysis of Job Characteristics, Emotion Regulation, and Teacher Well-Being: A Job Demands-Resources Model.

This study integrated personal factors into the job demands-resources (JD-R) model to examine school- and individual-level predictors of teacher well-being. Survey data were gathered from 1,656 teachers from 54 schools. The results of hierarchical linear modeling indicated that the school-level emotional job demands of teaching and suppression at the individual level were positively related to teachers' anxiety and depression whereas school-level trust in colleagues and individual-level reappraisal were positively associated with enthusiasm and contentment.
