This study evaluated the diagnostic value of the automated UF-5000 parameters and compared it with that of aberrant erythrocytes and acanthocytes classified by microscopy for identifying IgA glomerular hematuria to propose a predictive model for clinical use. It also compared correlations between erythrocyte parameters and malformed erythrocytes. Urine samples from 53 biopsy-proven IgA hematuria cases and 143 non-IGA nephropathic hematuria cases as controls were analyzed.

Unfortunately, a direct approach for monitoring neurotransmitter chemistry in single vesicles in fresh brain tissue has remained inaccessible so far. Here, we introduce an innovative platform of single-vesicle electrochemistry (SVE) in fresh brain tissue, enabling the quantification of neurotransmitters at the single-vesicle level for both soma and varicosity.

It is crucial to investigate the impact of plant polysaccharides on neurotransmission, particularly regarding the vesicular storage and exocytosis of neurotransmitters. In this study, we demonstrated the possibility of studying how the polysaccharide from Champ.

However, the impact of mechanical stress on chemical signal transmission, especially the storage and release of neurotransmitter in neuron vesicles, has not been fully clarified. In this study, a nanotip conical carbon fiber microelectrode (CFME) and a disk CFME are placed in and on a cell, respectively.

Non-O157 Shiga toxin-producing (STEC) is an important pathogen that can cause zoonotic diseases. To investigate the antimicrobial resistance of STEC in China, non-O157 STEC isolates, recovered from domestic animals and humans from 12 provinces, were analyzed using antimicrobial susceptibility testing and whole genome characterization. Out of the 298 isolates tested, 115 strains showed resistance to at least one antimicrobial and 85 strains showed multidrug resistance.
