To evaluate the clinical effect of Gongning granules combined with low-dose hormone therapy in pubertal dysfunctional uterine bleeding (PDUB) and its effect on uterine hemodynamics. A total of 164 PDUB patients who were treated in the gynecological outpatient department of our hospital from December 2018 to June 2020 were randomized into study group and control group, with 82 cases each. The control group received estrogen progesterone, and the study group received Gongning granules plus.

Zearalenone (ZEN), a nonsteroidal estrogenic mycotoxin, has a negative effect on porcine intestine. Glutamine (Gln) and alanyl-glutamine (Ala-Gln) are nutrients with potential preservation functions similar to those of the intestinal epithelial barrier. The protective role of Gln and Ala-Gln on ZEN-induced intestinal barrier dysfunction was evaluated in this study.

Deoxynivalenol (DON), zearalenone (ZEN) and fumonisin B (FB) are among the most toxicologically important Fusarium toxins commonly found in nature that lead to nephrotoxicity in animals. The present study investigated that the individual and combined effects of subcytotoxic DON (0.25 μM), ZEN (20 μM) and FB (10 μM) on oxidative stress and apoptosis in porcine kidney cells (PK15).

Carbon cloth with brush-like polyaniline (BL-PANI) nanowire arrays generated on the surface was utilized as anode material in this study to improve the power output of MFCs. A novel pulsed voltage method was applied to fabricate BL-PANI with PANI nanowires of ∼230nm of length. By using BL-PANI modified carbon cloth as anode, the power output was improved by 58.

Anaerobic-Anoxic-Oxic (AA/O) wastewater treatment process is a widely used wastewater treatment process for simultaneous nitrogen and phosphorus removal. Microbial fuel cell (MFC) can generate electricity and treat the organic wastewater simultaneously. Our previous research showed that embedding MFC in AA/O wastewater treatment process could enhance the pollutants removal efficiency.

Cerium phosphate (CeP) nanotubes have been synthesized and confirmed by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The 1D nanomaterial has a monoclinic crystal structure with a mean width of 15-20 nm and a length up to several micrometers. The nanotubes have been employed as electrode substrates for immobilization and direct electrochemistry of heme proteins/enzymes with myoglobin (Mb) as a model.
