Background: Previous studies have demonstrated that human cardiac c-Kit progenitor cells (hCPCs) can effectively improve ischemic heart disease. However, the major challenge in applying hCPCs to clinical therapy is the low survival rate of graft hCPCs in the host heart, which limited the benefit of transplanted hCPCs. Bradykinin (BK) is a principal active agent of the tissue kinin-kallikrein system.

Propagation of coherent and partially coherent pulses through one-dimensional photonic crystals.

The propagation of coherent and partially coherent light pulses through a one-dimensional photonic crystal ( 1DPC ) is investigated. The dependence of the evolution of the pulses inside the 1DPC on incident angles and the effect of the coherence of the pulses on the propagation properties are discussed. The evolution of a pulse inside the 1DPC is affected by the coherence of the pulse.
