This study presents a novel Semantic-Attention Enhanced Dynamic Swin Convolutional Block Attention Module(CBAM) Transformer (DSC-Transformer) for lymph node ultrasound image classification. The model integrates semantic feature extraction and multi-scale attention mechanisms with the Swin Transformer architecture, enabling efficient processing of diagnostically significant regions while suppressing noise. Key innovations include semantic-driven preprocessing for localized diagnostic focus, adaptive compression for bandwidth-limited scenarios, and multi-scale attention modules for capturing both global anatomical context and local texture details.

Actinobacteria are widely used in aerobic composting of straw waste because of their good degradation effect on lignocellulose. However, there are few studies on the degradation effect of on straw. In this study, six laboratory-scale treatments were conducted: corn straw composting with inoculation (CSI), rice straw composting with inoculation (RSI), and wheat straw composting with inoculation (WSI).

Article Synopsis
  • The copper transport (COPT/Ctr) family helps organisms manage copper levels and is mainly studied in plants, while its role in edible mushrooms is less explored.
  • This study focused on the CCMSSC00389 strain, demonstrating that adding copper ions enhances mycelial temperature tolerance, cell membrane integrity, and density.
  • Four genes were identified, showing different expression patterns under temperature stress, and the OE- strain improved heat resistance and recovery of mycelia, suggesting it regulates copper homeostasis for better cell membrane stability.

Tropospheric ozone affects human health, ecosystems, and climate change. Previous studies on Tropospheric Column Ozone (TCO) have primarily concentrated on specific regions or global geographic divisions. This has led to insufficient exploration of the spatiotemporal characteristics and influencing factors of TCO in global and rational subregions.

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are known for their role in ameliorating plant stress, including alkaline stress, yet the mechanisms involved are not fully understood. This study investigates the impact of various inoculum doses of Bacillus licheniformis Jrh14-10 on Arabidopsis growth under alkaline stress and explores the underlying mechanisms of tolerance enhancement. We found that all tested doses improved the growth of NaHCO-treated seedlings, with 10 cfu/mL being the most effective.

Introduction: Quorum-quenching enzyme Est816 hydrolyzes the lactone rings of -acyl homoserine lactones, effectively blocking the biofilm formation and development of Gram-negative bacteria. However, its applications in the oral field is limited. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of enzyme Est816 in combination with antibiotics against periodontitis induced by and .

With China's commitment to reach carbon peak by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060, it is particularly important to obtain terrestrial ecosystem carbon fluxes with low uncertainty both globally and in China. The use of more observation data may help reduce the uncertainty of inverting carbon fluxes. This study uses the observation data from global stations, background stations and provincial stations in China, as well as the OCO-2 satellite, and uses the China Carbon Monitoring, Verification and Supporting System for Global (CCMVS-G) to estimate the carbon fluxes of global and Chinese terrestrial ecosystems from 2019 to 2021.

Background: Dilaceration is a rare dental developmental anomaly characterized by an abrupt deviation along the longitudinal axis of the root in which an angulation forms between the root and the crown. Here, we report on dilacerated bilateral maxillary central incisors in mixed dentition.

Case Summary: A 10-year-old girl presented with a chief complaint of unerupted central incisors.

Article Synopsis
  • - The research focuses on the regulatory mechanisms of growth and development in a type of edible mushroom, specifically examining the function of the MAC1 protein, which interacts with copper and influences gene expression.
  • - Two transcription factor genes were identified, and experiments with overexpression (OE) and RNA interference (RNAi) strains revealed that these genes play a role in heat stress tolerance, particularly at 32 °C and 40 °C.
  • - The findings indicate distinct functional roles for the two genes during different growth stages, with one gene promoting rapid primordia formation and shortening cultivation time, highlighting their importance in mushroom development.

Alkaline stress is a major environmental challenge that restricts plant growth and agricultural productivity worldwide. Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) can be used to effectively enhance plant abiotic stress in an environment-friendly manner. However, PGPR that can enhance alkalinity tolerance are not well-studied and the mechanisms by which they exert beneficial effects remain elusive.

Article Synopsis
  • Cr(VI) is a toxic pollutant that poses serious risks to all organisms, and current methods to eliminate it are costly and energy-intensive; hence, bioremediation offers a more sustainable alternative.
  • Researchers discovered a new strain, Microbacterium sp. NEAU-W11, which effectively reduces Cr(VI) under various conditions and can tolerate other metal pollutants while being enhanced by certain metals and sugars.
  • The study revealed that the reduction of Cr(VI) is not due to biological sorption, but biological reduction, with key enzymes located in the cell cytoplasm and resulting in Cr(III)-ligand complexes bound to extracellular substances, providing new insights into chromium degradation mechanisms.

  • MYB transcription factors (TFs) play an important role in plant stress responses and growth, but their specific impacts on heat stress and development are not fully understood.
  • Researchers used RNA interference (RNAi) and overexpression (OE) techniques to create mutant strains and found that these mutants showed improved performance under various heat stress conditions (32 °C, 36 °C, and 40 °C).
  • The study concluded that certain MYB TFs enhance mycelium's heat stress response and promote the growth and recovery of plants, while one specific TF inhibits these processes.

Accurate estimating CO emissions and sinks is crucial in achieving carbon neutrality in China. However, CO emissions from bottom-up inventories are uncertain at regional scales and lack independent verification from atmospheric perspectives. Here we integrated 39 high-precision CO stations in China to top-down invert emission-sink variations at 45 km × 45 km and achieved a full range of inventories verification.

China is the largest strawberry producer and exporter worldwide and has been constantly challenged by fruit rot diseases in recent years. Symptoms of various diseases on strawberry fruits were observed in Huangqiyuan Base, an important strawberry-producing region in Shandong Province, and symptomatic samples were collected from January to April 2021 for follow-up studies. In the present study, 137 isolates were obtained and classified into nine species based on morphological characteristics and multilocus phylogenetic analysis (ITS, , , , , , , and/or ), namely, , , , , , , , , and .

During our previous study, strain NEAU-J3 was classified as representing a novel genus '' within the family . Nevertheless, it is a great pity the name cannot be validated as the proposed genus name is illegitimate (Principle 2 of the ICNP). In this study, we describe as a novel genus within the family and a polyphasic approach was used to provide evidence to support the classification.
