PDZRN4 (PDZ domain-containing RING finger 4), a member of the LNX (ligand of numb protein-X) family that regulates the levels of NUMB, plays a critical role in suppressing the proliferation and invasion of hormone-related malignant tumours. There are few studies on the role of PDZRN4 in the pathogenesis of prostate cancer (PCa). We aimed to examine whether PDZRN4 regulates the growth and development of PCa.

Objectives: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is the most common infection complication after kidney transplantation, and the reports of the incidence vary greatly among different centers. This study aims to explore the risk factors for UTI after kidney transplantation with the donation from brain death (DBD) and the impact on graft function, thus to provide theoretical basis for comprehensive prevention and treatment of UTI after kidney transplantation.
Methods: The clinical and laboratory data of DBD kidney transplantation from January 2017 to December 2018 in Xiangya Hospital, Central South University were collected and retrospectively analyzed.

To estimate the incidence rate of ureteral fistula and stricture after kidney transplantation, and to evaluate the effect of bladder flap (Boari flap) on ureteral complication of the transplanted kidney. Methods: The clinical data and risk factors from 270 recipients of renal transplantation, who came from the Centre of Organ Transplantation, Xiangya Hospital, Central South University from January 2010 to January 2015, were retrospectively analyzed. The surgical management included Boari flap for ureteral reconstruction, neoureterocystostomy and endoscopic therapy with double-J (DJ) stent placement.

In this study, we extensively investigated the impact of patients' biological characteristics on EGFR mutation and the impact of EGFR mutation subtypes on targeted therapy of advanced LAC. We examined EGFR exons18to21status in169 LAC patients by direct sequencing to study the impact of patients' biological characteristics on the EGFR mutational spectrum.

High expression of MMSET is common translocation in multiple myeloma (MM) and is associated with the worst prognosis. Recent studies have shown that overexpression of MMSET is significant in other tumor types compared to their normal tissues.

Previous tumor studies have shown GAX may act as a suppressor of growth, invasion, and metastasis. However, little is known as to its role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: MicroRNAs (miRNA) are a group of noncoding small RNAs that repress mRNA expression or induce mRNA degradation by binding to the 3'-untranslated regions of mRNAs. MiRNAs have been connected closely with the development of cancers such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the overexpression of microRNA-301a (miR-301a) has seldom been connected with tumorigenesis in HCC.
