To explore differences among the elderly people (aged over 50 years old) living with HIV (PLWH) who are receiving antiretroviral therapy (ART), we collected and analyzed data using cross-sectional research methods. Among 520 elderly PLWH on ART, those over 60 years old, compared to those aged 50-60, had lower levels of education, more retirees in occupation distribution, a lower rate of active consultation, a higher proportion of heterosexual transmission, and more complications. Additionally, this study demonstrated a greater incidence of severe disease symptoms and a higher rate of ART failure.

In recent years, great progress has been made in haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (haplo-HSCT) treatment for hematological malignant diseases because of the advent of novel conditioning regimens, optimized graft manipulation, improved graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) prophylaxis, and advances in supportive care. Recent studies have shown very favorable outcomes in severe aplastic anemia (SAA) patients, with comparable outcomes to those of patients receiving immune suppressive therapy (IST) and allogeneic HSCT from a matched sibling donor (MSD) or matched unrelated donor (MUD). However, most of the previous studies relied on single-center data analyses, and the conditioning regimen, GVHD prophylaxis and supportive care used were relatively singular.

Fel Ursi is a dried product obtained from the gallbladder of Ursidae animals, such as Selenarctos thibetanus or Ursus arctos, through gallbladder surgery for bile drainage. Objective: Autologous hematopoietic stem cell (ASC) transplantation (ASCT) is an effective treatment method for patients with hematological disorders and malignant diseases. The patient's ASCs are harvested prior to radiotherapy/chemotherapy, cryopreserved and then transfused back after the high-dose radiotherapy/chemotherapy conditioning treatment. Since some patients develop thrombocytopenia after receiving ASCT, it is difficult for them to bear simultaneously the management of their original disease and thrombocytopenia.

During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) lockdown in 2020, severe haze pollution occurred in the North China Plain despite the significant reduction in anthropogenic emissions, providing a natural experiment to explore the response of haze pollution to the reduction of human activities. Here, we study the characteristics and causes of haze pollution during the COVID-19 outbreak based on comprehensive field measurements in Beijing during January and February 2020. After excluding the Spring Festival period affected by fireworks activities, we found the ozone concentrations and the proportion of sulfate and nitrate in PM increased during the COVID-19 lockdown compared with the period before the lockdown, and sulfate played a more important role.
