Emotion is a complex state caused by the functioning of the human brain in relation to various events, for which there is no scientific definition. Emotion recognition is traditionally conducted by psychologists and experts based on facial expressions-the traditional way to recognize something limited and is associated with errors. This study presents a new automatic method using electroencephalogram (EEG) signals based on combining graph theory with convolutional networks for emotion recognition.

  • Foreign body aspiration (FBA) is a serious and common emergency in children, which can lead to significant health risks.
  • A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted to evaluate how effective chest CT scans are in diagnosing FBA in pediatric patients, assessing various studies published until May 2024.
  • The findings showed that chest CT scans have a very high sensitivity (99%) and specificity (97%) for identifying FBA, underscoring their diagnostic value despite some variability in study results.
