The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) aimed to narrow the digital divide by providing discounted internet services for millions of low-income households during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study examined associations between enrollment in the ACP and Telehealth visits in a racially diverse low-income population. Data were obtained via a cross-sectional survey of 213 respondents.

Although there is potential for consolidation to improve patient care, efficiencies and reduce overhead costs, participants in our conference identified that almost all research on consolidation has shown increased cost without improvement in outcomes or the experience of care. To provide a framework for considering the impact of consolidation, future research and analysis we offer 4 themes: (1) to move forward, we need to look back at historical drivers, value creation, and unintended consequences; (2) not all consolidation is created equally; (3) real-time, continuous evaluation is critical for improvement; and (4) a policy blueprint is desperately needed.

This study delves into the biochemical complexity governing YtfE's conversion of nitric oxide (NO) to nitrous oxide, a key process for alleviating nitrosative stress. Through site-directed mutagenesis, we explored YtfE's molecular structure, with a particular focus on two internal transport tunnels important for its activity.

Medical-legal partnerships (MLPs) are collaborations between clinics and lawyers that address these health-harming legal needs (HHLNs) and have been shown to improve health and reduce utilization.
Objective: The objective of this study is to explore the impact, barriers, and facilitators of MLP implementation in primary care clinics.
Purpose: Direct primary care (DPC) critics are concerned that the periodic fee precludes participation from vulnerable populations. The purpose is to describe the demographics and appointments of a, now closed, academic DPC clinic and determine whether there are differences in vulnerability between census tracts with and without any clinic patients.
Methods: We linked geocoded data from the DPC's electronic health record with the social vulnerability index (SVI).
Background: There are no approved pharmacotherapies for methamphetamine use disorder. Two preliminary phase 2 randomised controlled trials have found mirtazapine, a tetracyclic antidepressant, to be effective in reducing methamphetamine use. The proposed Tina Trial is the first phase 3 placebo-controlled randomised trial to examine the effectiveness and safety of mirtazapine as an outpatient pharmacotherapy for methamphetamine use disorder.

Objective: This study aims to assess how clinicians and staff members would use a clinical decision support tool based on artificial intelligence (AI) and identify factors that affect adoption.
Background: Individuals from minoritized racial and ethnic backgrounds experience pernicious and pervasive health disparities that have emerged, in part, from clinician bias.
Objective: We used a natural language processing approach to examine whether linguistic markers in electronic health record (EHR) notes differ based on the race and ethnicity of the patient. To validate this methodological approach, we also assessed the extent to which clinicians perceive linguistic markers to be indicative of bias.
Background: Inadequate postoperative analgesia may cause postoperative complications, such as pulmonary complications. This study evaluated the analgesic effectiveness of a single preoperative injection of dinalbuphine sebacate (DS) in patients undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic wedge resection and assessed whether it can reduce the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs).
Methods: In this study, the data of 757 patients who underwent VATS wedge resection at a medical center were retrospectively reviewed.
Background: ChatGPT is the most advanced large language model to date, with prior iterations having passed medical licensing examinations, providing clinical decision support, and improved diagnostics. Although limited, past studies of ChatGPT's performance found that artificial intelligence could pass the American Heart Association's advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) examinations with modifications. ChatGPT's accuracy has not been studied in more complex clinical scenarios.

In 'II: foundational building blocks-context, community and health', authors address the following themes: 'Context-grounding family medicine in time, place and being', 'Recentring community', 'Community-oriented primary care', 'Embeddedness in practice', 'The meaning of health', 'Disease, illness and sickness-core concepts', 'The biopsychosocial model', 'The biopsychosocial approach' and 'Family medicine as social medicine.' May readers grasp new implications for medical education and practice in these essays.

Electronic interplay between [Fe(NO)] units and [ON] ligand in DNIC rationalizes that "hard" -phenoxide moiety polarizes iron center(s) of [Fe(NO)] unit(s) to enforce a "constrained" π-conjugation system acting as an electron reservoir to bestow the spin-frustrated {Fe(NO)}-{Fe(NO)}-[ON] electron configuration ( = 1/2). This system plays a crucial role in facilitating the ligand-based redox interconversion, working in harmony to control the storage and redox-triggered transport of the [Fe(NO)] unit, while preserving the {Fe(NO)} core in DNICs {Fe(NO)}-[ON] [K-18-crown-6-ether)][(ON)Fe(NO)] () and {Fe(NO)}-[ON] [(ON)Fe(NO)][PF] ().

The objective of this umbrella review was to systematically summarize the global evidence on the effects of air pollutants on maternal health outcomes. We adopted the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology and Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) reporting standards for this umbrella review.

The NZVI core shows a high percentage of zerovalent iron (Fe %) and is stabilized by a hydrophobic organic support formed through the photodegradation of eosin Y hybridized with the NMDA ligand. In addition to its well-known reductive properties in wastewater treatment and groundwater remediation, NZVI demonstrates the ability to form heterostructures when it interacts with metal ions.

The strongly correlated catalytic directionality and Bi dopant can be rationalized by the regulation of [*COOH]/[*CO] adsorption capacities through the appropriate doping of Bi electronic modulator, resulting in volcano relationship between FE/TOF and surface EVBM values. Spectroscopic study reveals that the dual-site binding mode ([Cu─μ─C(═O)O─Bi]) enabled by CuBi motif in single-phase CuBi nanocatalyst drives CO2-to-CO conversion.
