This study introduces an efficient RPA-PfAgo detection system for the MTHFR C677T polymorphism, proposing a potential strategy to simplify the genotyping process. By optimizing recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) with Pyrococcus furiosus Argonaute (PfAgo) nucleases, we achieved DNA amplification at a constant temperature. The assay was fine-tuned through meticulous primer and guide DNA selection, with optimal conditions established at 2.

It is essential to understand the factors influencing learning engagement among nursing students, especially from the learner's perspective, which is notably scarce but vital for designing effective educational interventions.
Objectives: This study aims to investigate the mediating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between professional identity and learning engagement for nursing students in higher vocational colleges.
Bereavement is a commonly experienced grief event; however, bereavement can also trigger a number of psychological consequences, such as prolonged grief disorder (PGD). At present, the differences in prolonged grief disorder symptoms (PGD symptoms) among various individuals and how those symptoms relate to cognitive variables are unclear. In the present study, 817 Chinese college students with bereavement experience were selected as participants.

When occurred in the pediatric population, they usually appear bilaterally and are related to neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2). The current study reports a 4-year-old boy without family history of VS or NF2 who presented with a large (5.

In recent years, methods based on sequence, structure and biological networks for protein function annotation have been extensively researched. Although obtaining a protein in three-dimensional structure through experimental or computational methods enhances the accuracy of function prediction, the sheer volume of proteins sequenced by high-throughput technologies presents a significant challenge.

Methods: This study enrolled 532 CRLM patients at West China Hospital (WCH) from January 2009 to December 2019. Prognostic factors were identified from the training cohort to construct a WCH-nomogram and evaluating accuracy in the validation cohort.
The oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is essential for the development of renewable energy conversion and storage technologies. Eight N-doped graphenes containing variable numbers of embedded cobalt atoms (Co-NG, = 1-4, = 1-3, where represents the number of embedded Co atoms and represents different configurations) were designed and their OER electrocatalytic activities were systematically studied through density functional theory calculations. The significant roles of the number of Co atoms and their configuration in their OER performance were discussed in detail.

Previous studies have shown that mesenchymal stem cells derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) have beneficial effects on wound healing. However, the human foreskin mesenchymal stem cell (FSMSCs)-derived extracellular vesicle (FM-EV) has not yet been isolated and characterized.

However, information regarding regulatory factors or potential mechanisms is limited. Herein, we observed that temperature differentially regulates biofilm formation and protease production, and a cAMP receptor-like protein (Clp) negatively regulates thermosensor biofilm formation, in contrast to protease synthesis.

Methods: Three months after this policy was implemented, we conducted a study involving 430 Chinese adolescents who regularly played online games for over two hours daily before the policy. We collected their responses to the restriction, including their compliance with the policy, engagement in undesirable alternative behaviors (e.
Background: Skeletal muscle is composed of muscle fibers with different physiological characteristics, which plays an important role in regulating skeletal muscle metabolism, movement and body homeostasis. The type of skeletal muscle fiber directly affects meat quality. However, the transcriptome and gene interactions between different types of muscle fibers are not well understood.

However, the poor interface between polymer gel electrolyte and electrode, caused by insufficient wetting, produces much poorer electrochemical properties, especially during the deformation of the battery. Here we report a strategy for designing channel structures in electrodes to incorporate polymer gel electrolytes and to form intimate and stable interfaces for high-performance wearable batteries.

First, preloaded bacteria, nanobeads and nanozymes were mixed through a finger actuator to form nanobead-bacteria-nanozyme conjugates, which were captured by the outer magnetic field. After the inner magnetic field was rotated to successively wash the conjugates and push the HO-TMB substrate for resuspending these conjugates, colorless TMB was catalyzed into blue TMB products, followed by color analysis using ImageJ software for bacterial determination.

Urban surface water pollution poses significant threats to aquatic ecosystems and human health. Conventional nitrogen removal technologies used in urban surface water exhibit drawbacks such as high consumption of carbon sources, high sludge production, and focus on dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration while neglecting the impact of DO gradients. Here, we show an ecological filter walls (EFW) that removes pollutants from urban surface water.
