Preserving pulp viability and promoting pulp regeneration in pulpitis have attracted widespread attention. Restricted by the oxidative stress microenvironment of dental pulpitis, excessive reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) trigger uncontrolled inflammation and exacerbate pulp tissue destruction. However, modulating redox homeostasis in inflamed pulp tissue to promote pulp regeneration remains a great challenge.

Clinically, defects in the hybrid layer from insufficient adhesive infiltration, bacterial load from retained infected-dentin, and bacterial attack from the oral cavity are the main threats to degeneration. Currently, there is no strategy to simultaneously address adhesive penetration and bacterial infection.

The tumor microenvironment (TME) is a potential target. By analyzing single-cell RNA sequencing (sc-RNAseq) data from six RCC tumor samples, this study identified 11 different cell types in the RCC cellular microenvironment, indicating a high degree of intratumoral heterogeneity.

However, insufficient adhesive infiltration in the demineralized dentin matrix (DDM) always produces numerous defects in the bonding interface termed the hybrid layer, which causes high levels of bacteria-related secondary dental diseases, and less than 50% of the bonding lasts more than 5 years. Therefore, it is urgent and vital to construct an antibacterial low-defect hybrid layer to solve the durability-related problems.

We present two seemingly typical cases of intraoperative MH development, with details on perioperative assessment and rescue. Postoperative genetic test showed mutations in the ryanodine receptor type 1 gene.

In esthetic rehabilitation, methods used to enhance the margin quality have always been the focus and difficulty of improving the level of diagnosis and treatment, prevention and treatment of complications, and collaboration between clinicians and technicians. However, it is impeded by the ambiguous definition and classification of margin, unstandardized tooth preparation, manufacturing process of restoration, and lack of reliable means of checking the quantitative requirements of preparation or restoration. The digital technologies that are increasingly applied, such as intra-oral scanner, impression scanner, and computerized numerical control cutting machine, have strict requirements about margin quality.

We studied bone marrow stem cell (BMSC) secretome-induced activation of anterior vaginal wall (AVW) fibroblasts and its ability to accelerate SUI recovery following vaginal distention (VD) in a rat model of birth trauma using BMSC-conditioned medium (BMSC-CM) and concentrated conditioned medium (CCM). BMSC-CM enhanced the proliferation, migration, and collagen synthesizing abilities of fibroblasts.

Here, a microfluidics-based approach is developed for continuous encapsulation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) at the single-cell level using alginate microgels. This microfluidic technique integrated on-chip encapsulation, gelation, and de-emulsification into a one-step fabrication process, which enables scalable cell encapsulation while retaining the viability and functionality of loaded cells.

Microgels with independently controlled compartments that can encapsulate cells within separately confined hydrogel matrices would provide precise control over the route of pairing single cells. Here, a one-step microfluidic method is presented to generate monodisperse multicompartment microgels that can be used as a 3D matrix to pair single cells in a highly biocompatible manner.

Mangiferin-loaded poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) scaffolds were prepared using a freeze-drying technique with ice particles as the porogen material. The produced scaffolds were examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM).

Nevertheless, their cohesion upon injection into perfused bone defects as well as their long-term degradation behavior remain major clinical challenges. Therefore, the long-term degradation behavior of two types of α-tricalcium phosphate-based, apatite-forming CPCs was compared to a commercially available apatite-forming cement, that is HydroSet™ .

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of impressions made by agar/alginate compared with silicon rubber material.
Methods: Five moulds of bi-root canal molar, with different root canal angles of 0°, 10°, 20°, 30° and 40° were made. Twenty impressions were made for each mould with either silicon rubber or agar/alginate.
Objective: To investigate the feasibility of extraction site preservation using injectable calcium phosphate cement (CPC) combine with poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) microspheres.
Methods: Immediate extraction defects models were created in canine mandibles, and the defects were filled with CPC/PLGA (experimental group, E) , Bio-Oss (positive control, P), non-treatment (blank control, B) respectively. Dogs were sacrificed after 4, 8, 12 weeks post operation.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of PLGA microsphere dimensions on bone formation after injection of calcium phosphate cement (CPC)/PLGA in a guinea pig tibial intramedullarly model. To this end, injectable CPC/PLGA formulations were prepared using PLGA microspheres with either a small (~25 µm) or large (~100 µm) diameter, which were incorporated at a 20:80 ratio (wt%) within apatite CPC. Both CPC/PLGA formulations were injected into a marrow-ablated tibial intramedullary cavity and, after an implantation period of 12 weeks, histology and histomorphometry were used to address bone formation.

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs), especially ultra-short SWNTs (US-tubes), have proven useful for reinforcing synthetic polymeric scaffold materials. In this article, we report on the in vivo biocompatibility of US-tube reinforced porous biodegradable scaffolds in a rabbit model.
