Histocompatibility Minor 13 (HM13) encoding the signal peptide peptidase plays an important role in maintaining protein homeostasis but its role in tumors remains unclear. In this study, 33 tumor RNA-seq datasets were extracted from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, and the pan-cancer expression profile of HM13 was evaluated in combination with The Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) datasets. The prognostic significance of abnormal HM13 pan-cancer expression was evaluated by univariate Cox regression and Kaplan-Meier analyses.

Methods: We collected records of patients with AAD and clinical data from 2010 to 2020 and followed up on the relevant information for 136 months.
Background/purpose: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a highly malignant tumor, and the overall survival (OS) time of patients with OSCC varies considerably. This study aimed to identify reliable biomarkers for OSCC and construct a new prognostic signature, which may guide personalized precision treatment.
Materials And Methods: Transcriptome array data of 317 patients with OSCC from The Cancer Genome Atlas Project (TCGA) cohort were retrospectively analyzed.
Circular RNAs (circRNAs), which generally act as microRNA (miRNA) sponges to competitively regulate the downstream target genes of miRNA, play an essential role in cancer biology. However, few studies have been reported on the role of circRNA based competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Herein, we aimed to screen and establish the circRNA/miRNA/mRNA networks related to the prognosis and progression of HCC and further explore the underlying mechanisms of tumorigenesis.

Background: (a) To evaluate the clinical performance of endocrine analytes using the sigma metrics (σ) model. (b) To redesign quality control strategies for performance improvement.
Methods: The sigma values of the analytes were initially evaluated based on the allowable total error (TEa), bias, and coefficient of variation (CV) at QC materials level 1 and 2 in March 2018.
Background: As key negative regulators of gene expression, microRNAs (miRNAs) play an important role in the onset and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study aimed to identify the miRNAs involved in HCC carcinogenesis and their regulated genes.
Methods: The Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) dataset (GSE108724) was chosen and explored to identify differentially expressed miRNAs using GEO2R.
Evidence suggests that hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is among the main causes of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In addition, HCV-induced HCC (HCV-HCC) exhibits adverse clinical outcomes and limited therapeutic treatments are available for this condition. To investigate key biomarkers in the occurrence and development of HCV-HCC, microarray datasets GSE62232, GSE69715 and GSE107170 were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus database for analysis.
