Objective: N-methyladenosine (mA) mRNA modification triggers malignant behaviors of tumor cells and thereby drives malignant progression in gastric cancer (GC). However, data regarding the prognostic values of mA RNA methylation-related long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in GC are very limited in the literature. We aimed to investigate the prognostic potential of mA-related lncRNAs in predicting prognosis and monitoring immunotherapy efficacy in GC patients.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a class of non-protein-coding RNAs essential to the occurrence and development of gastric cancer (GC). We aimed to identify critical lncRNA pairs to construct a prognostic model and assess its performances in prognosis and efficacy prediction in GC patients receiving immunotherapy and chemotherapy. We searched transcriptome and clinical data of GC patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database.

Ferroptosis is a type of iron-dependent programmed cell death. Ferroptosis inducers have been shown to have a great potential for cancer therapy. We aimed to generate a risk scoring model based on ferroptosis-related genes (FRGs) and validate its predictive performances in overall survival (OS) prediction and immunotherapy efficacy evaluation in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC).

Purpose: Recently, dysregulated circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been associated with the progression of numerous malignant tumors. However, the mechanism through which circRNAs participate in breast cancer (BC) remains unclear. This study was designed to illustrate the role of hsa_circ_0068033 in BC.

Article Synopsis
  • Pancreatic cancer (PC) is highly deadly and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are important in its development.
  • A meta-analysis included 16 studies with 1,386 PC patients, finding lncRNA expression profiles had good sensitivity (82%) and specificity (77%) for distinguishing PC from noncancerous cases.
  • Abnormal lncRNA levels were linked to poorer overall survival, suggesting they could serve as useful biomarkers for diagnosing and predicting outcomes in pancreatic cancer.

Aim: To investigate the relationship between autophagy and perineural invasion (PNI), clinical features, and prognosis in patients with pancreatic cancer.

Methods: Clinical and pathological data were retrospectively collected from 109 patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma who underwent radical resection at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2011 to August 2016. Expression levels of the autophagy-related protein microtubule-associated protein 1A/1B-light chain 3 (LC3) and PNI marker ubiquitin carboxy-terminal hydrolase (UCH) in pancreatic cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry.
