Parental self-efficacy beliefs develop over time. Most research, however, has focused mainly on the trajectories and predictors of trajectories of maternal self-efficacy, while little is known about those of paternal self-efficacy. This study examined the change in paternal self-efficacy for educational involvement during children's elementary school period, analyzing whether the change is influenced by fathers' long working hours (i.

However, there still have significant issues concerning the translational development of ADSC-based therapies, such as its heterogeneity and being prone to aging. We developed a new simple and economical 3D semi-suspended expansion method in which 3D spheroids reside on an ADSC-derived self-feeder cell layer, producing cells with increased population homogeneity and strong stemness and ensuring that the proliferation and differentiation potency of the cells does not become notably reduced after at least ten passages in culture.

To explore the feasibility of serum angiogenin (ANG) as a biomarker for early detection of colorectal neoplasia, we collected serum samples from 781 participants, including 369 patients with CRC, 133 with colorectal adenoma and 279 healthy controls. We examined the levels of serum ANG by ELISA, calculated the diagnostic accuracy of ANG by plotted receiver operating characteristic curves (ROCs), and compared it with those obtained by carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9).

We employed bioinformatics to identify metabolic processes associated with differentially expressed proteins. The expression levels of two proteins (S100-A9 and the L-lactate dehydrogenase A chain) were significantly higher in ICP patients than in controls; the areas under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves (AUCs) were 0.

Introduction: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a metabolic disorder characterized by the accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM). This study aims to investigate whether exists an interplay between poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP-1) and sirtuin 1 (SIRT-1) in DN via AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK)/peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1-α (PGC-1α) signaling pathway.
Methods: Eight-week-old male obese leptin-resistant (db/db) mice and nondiabetic control male C57BLKs/J (db/m) mice were used in this study.
This paper investigates the working performance of reinforcement concrete (RC) beams strengthened by Carbon-Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) with different anchoring under bending moment, based on the structural stressing state theory. The measured strain values of concrete and Carbon-Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) sheet are modeled as generalized strain energy density (GSED), to characterize the RC beams' stressing state. Then the Mann-Kendall (M-K) criterion is applied to distinguish the characteristic loads of structural stressing state from the curve, updating the definition of structural failure load.

Here, we photogenerate giant anisotropic terahertz nonlinear currents with vanishing scattering, driven by laser-induced coherent phonons of broken inversion symmetry in a centrosymmetric Dirac material ZrTe. Our work suggests that this phononic terahertz symmetry switching leads to formation of Weyl points, whose chirality manifests in a transverse, helicity-dependent current, orthogonal to the dynamical inversion symmetry breaking axis, via circular photogalvanic effect.

Oxide heterointerface is a platform to create unprecedented two-dimensional electron gas, superconductivity and ferromagnetism, arising from a polar discontinuity at the interface. In particular, the ability to tune these intriguing effects paves a way to elucidate their fundamental physics and to develop novel electronic/magnetic devices. In this work, we report for the first time that a ferroelectric polarization screening at SrTiO/PbTiO interface is able to drive an electronic construction of Ti atom, giving rise to room-temperature ferromagnetism.

The fish were manually fed two diets (a control diet and a -coated diet) three times daily until apparent satiation for 56 days. Compared with the control group, supplementation with the -coated diet enhanced the fish growth and significantly reduced the feed conversion ratio ( < 0.

Most of these connections are semi-rigid or in other words flexible. The paper aims to study the behavior of such connections under the effect of column top-side cyclic loading using the finite element (FE) method.

This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of asymptomatic carriers with COVID-19 to control the spread of the virus. We retrospectively investigated the clinical characteristics of 648 consecutive subjects who were enrolled in the study and were divided into asymptomatic carriers, mild cases, ordinary cases, severe or critical cases, and evaluated their impact on disease severity by means of Spearman correlation and multiple regression analyses.

We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy of prophylactic clips for preventing DPB by synthesizing the results of randomized trials.
Methods: PubMed, Cochrane Library, and EMBASE were searched to October 2019 to identify randomized controlled trials evaluating the efficacy of placing prophylactic clips to reduce DPB after resection of large (≥10 mm) colorectal polyps.
Difluoroisoxazolacetophenone (DFIO) is developed as a new difluoroalkylation reagent that can be easily prepared from inexpensive starting materials. In situ remote C-C bond cleavage of DFIO affords -difluoroisoxazole nitronate that undergoes base-catalyzed vinylogous nitroaldol additions to isatins, benzothiophene-2,3-dione, unsaturated-α-ketoesters, and cyclic 1,2-diketones. This organocatalytic debenzoate vinylogous nitroaldol reaction provides a new and mild approach for the preparation of various difluoroisoxazole-substituted 3-hydroxy-2-oxindoles.

The CL emission of TBL dots can last continuously for over 60 min and can be employed for quantitative (in vitro) and qualitative (in vivo) detection of O .

Contact angle (θ) is widely employed to characterize the wetting behaviors of bubbles on solid surfaces; however, it usually fluctuates within the bubble's advancing (θ) and receding (θ) range. Although the term of most-stable contact angle (θ) was defined previously as the closest valuable approximation for thermodynamically meaningful contact angle for a droplet on a solid surface, it has not been widely studied; and the precise θ measurement methods are inadequate to describe bubbles' wetting behaviors on solid surfaces.

Most scholars' experiments and finite element studies on this type of joint are focused on the method of applying displacement loads on the beam tip, while the method of applying displacement on the column side has not been the subject of further study. However, the load transmission mechanism of this type of connection is not completely consistent in actual engineering, as the design concept of "strong column weak beam" does not apply to all joints.
