Objective: This study aimed to analyze the safety and mid-term outcomes of a hybrid treatment method combining rotational atherectomy (RA) with drug-coated balloon (DCB) angioplasty in patients with femoropopliteal artery in-stent restenosis (ISR).
Methods: This single-center retrospective study enrolled patients from January 2018 to March 2022 who had femoropopliteal artery in-stent restenosis treated by RA and DCB. Preoperative demographics, operative details, and postoperative 12-month follow-up outcomes were analyzed statistically.
In clinical practice, the demand for functional small-diameter vascular grafts continues to increase. In this study, a decellularized aorta artery was inserted into a poly(caprolactone) (PCL) vascular scaffold for self-assembly in-vitro to create a hybrid scaffold. The hybrid scaffold was then implanted subcutaneously into the dorsal flanks and the subcutaneous extracellular matrix was applied for bilayer adhesion.

We performed a network meta-analysis (NWM) of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to simultaneously compare the outcomes of different balloon angioplasty procedures for infrapopliteal artery lesions in CLTI patients.
Methods: We searched the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Embase, and PubMed.
We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of 217 consecutive Chinese patients with isolated atherosclerotic popliteal artery lesions treated with atherectomy technique, DCB, and plain old balloon angioplasty from August 2017 to August 2022. There was no difference in the 48-month patency rate between the atherectomy, DCB, and POBA groups (65%, 56%, and 51%, respectively; p = 0.3), as well as in adjusted Cox regression.

The surface modification of biologically active factors on tissue-engineering vascular scaffold fails to fulfill the mechanical property and bioactive compounds' sustained release in vivo and results in the inhibition of tissue regeneration of small-diameter vascular grafts in vascular replacement therapies. In this study, biodegradable poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) was applied for scaffold preparation, and poly(ethylene glycol) (PG) hydrogel was used to load heparin and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF). In vitro analysis demonstrated that the PCL scaffold could inhibit the heparin release from the PG hydrogel, and the PG hydrogel could inhibit heparin release during the process of PCL degradation.
