Article Synopsis
  • This study looked at the eyes of 32 kids with a condition called amblyopia, which is when one eye doesn’t see well. They used a special imaging technique called OCTA to check the thickness of the retina and how blood vessels were working in their eyes.
  • The researchers compared the kids' weak seeing eyes with their healthy eyes to see if there were any noticeable differences in the blood vessels and retina thickness.
  • They found that the kids with amblyopia had less blood vessel density in different parts of the retina compared to their healthy eyes, which means their eyes weren't working as well.
