Over the past ten years, there has been a significant improvement in the sensibility and specificity of the earlier diagnosis of ASD. However, parenting traits were relatively explored among children with different disabilities. We aimed to clarify the characteristics of parent-child interaction among children with ASD and DLD, compared with children not diagnosed with a disability.

This study evaluates the effects of mindfulness and life-skills (LS) training on emotional regulation and anxiety symptoms from a randomized controlled trial aimed at improving the mental health of Chinese migrant children.
Methods: Two intervention arms-mindfulness training (MT) and MT plus LS mentorship (MT + LS)-were compared to a waitlist control group of 368 migrant children aged 9-17 years.
Background: To explore the associations between anxiety and depression symptoms and academic burnout among children and adolescents in China, and to examine the role of resilience and self-efficacy in addressing academic burnout.
Methods: A total of 2,070 students in grades 4-8 were recruited from two primary and three middle schools in Shanghai, completed the Elementary School Student Burnout Scale (ESSBS), the Multidimensional Anxiety Scale for Children-Chinese (MASC-C), the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CES-D), the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), with 95.04% effective response rate.
Background: Comorbidity in mental disorders is prevalent among adolescents, with evidence suggesting a general psychopathology factor ("p" factor) that reflects shared mechanisms across different disorders. However, the association between the "p" factor and protective factors remains understudied. The current study aimed to explore the "p" factor, and its associations with psycho-social functioning, in Chinese adolescents.

Inspired by the coordination chemistry between functional groups of polymer and electrolyte ions, a freestanding layer consisting of dopamine-functionalized polypyrrole (DA-PPy) nanowires served as a selective ion transport layer at the anode-electrolyte interface to address these two issues, which could simultaneously avoid polarization caused by the introduction of an additional interface. On the one hand, the DA-PPy layer displays excellent zinc ion and charge transfer ability, as well as provides chemical homochanneling for zinc ions at the interface, which endow the DA-PPy layer with properties as a chemical guider and physical barrier for dendrite inhibition.

Methionine metabolism plays an important role in seed germination, but how methionine works in seed germination of maize has not been elucidated. We compared the changes in germination rate, the contents of methionine and folates, and transcriptional levels using transcriptome analysis under water or exogenous methionine treatment.

Such applications are desperately needed at universities, where people want to understand the students' psychology in real time to avoid catastrophes. This research proposed a self-aware face emotion accelerated recognition algorithm () that improves the efficiency of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) in the recognition of facial emotions.

Method: Migrant students ages 9 to 16 from 5 schools in Shanghai (N = 653) were randomly assigned to a mindfulness only group (n = 167), a mindfulness plus life skills group (n = 118), or a waitlist control group (n = 368). The first 2 groups received an 8-week mindfulness intervention delivered 1 hour weekly by trained community volunteers.

Deficiency in human coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) causes hemophilia A (HA). Patients with HA may suffer from spontaneous bleeding, which can be life-threatening. Recombinant FVIII (rFVIII) is an established treatment and prevention agent for bleeding in patients with HA.

Their variation in crops is important for the identification of genetic resources used to develop new varieties with enhanced vitamin B. In this research, remarkable variations were observed in kernels of 156 maize inbred lines, ranging from 107.

However, research on the relationship between socioeconomic status (SES) and mental health is insufficient. Therefore, this study, utilizing the China's National Dynamic Monitoring Survey data from a sample of 15,997 migrant workers aged 15-59 years to explore differences in the relationship between migrants' objective and subjective SES and mental health status in 2015.

Few studies have investigated the prevalence of non-infectious diseases among Chinese overseas workers. This study seeks to fill the gap and illustrate the relevant diseases in a population of Chinese overseas workers.

However, results were largely inconsistent. This study aims to explore the effects of ADHD and abnormal eating behaviors (including eating disorders, emotional eating, and bedtime eating) on obesity, and to assess the moderating role of abnormal eating behaviors between ADHD symptoms and BMI in Chinese children and adolescents.

Two maize inbred lines, DAN3130 and JI63, with different patterns of folate accumulation and different total folate contents in mature kernels were used to investigate the transcriptional regulation of folate metabolism during late stages of kernel formation by comparative transcriptome analysis. The folate accumulation during DAP 24 to mature kernels could be controlled by circumjacent pathways of folate biosynthesis, such as pyruvate metabolism, glutamate metabolism, and serine/glycine metabolism.

Therefore, we examined the association between childcare from grandparents/babysitters during infancy/preschool and ADHD symptoms in preschoolers.
Methods: Using stratified random sampling, we developed a sample comprising 1597 parents of children aged 1.
Background: NCR3LG1 (B7-H6) protein is selectively overexpressed on tumour and is associated with fatal disease progression of various cancer. However, its prognostic value in bladder cancer (BCa) has not been well elaborated.
Methods: We examined the expression of NCR3LG1 in human BCa and analysed its clinical significance and prognostic value.
The treatment of castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) is always a difficulty in the clinic. Most patients with localized tumor eventually develop CRPC, even if hormone therapy is initially effective. Increasing evidence shows immunotherapy has special advantages compared with traditional therapy in cancer treatment.

Background: Many migrants suffer from discrimination and poor health in China. We sought to examine the associations between experiences of discrimination and self-reported health among internal migrants in China, as well as the mediators of social integration and perceived stress.
Methods: The data was obtained from a specific survey of migrants, as a part of the National Health and Family Planning Dynamic Monitoring for Migrants conducted in 2014.

The aberrant activation of RAS-derived mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway plays a prominent role in tumorigenesis of an array of malignancies. The reasons are usually the upstream activated mutations including mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 1/2 (MEK1/2). As oncogenic mutations, MEK1 mutations have been observed in a variety of malignancies including melanoma, histiocytic neoplasms, colorectal cancer and lung cancer.

As essential B vitamin for humans, folates accumulation in edible parts of crops, such as maize kernels, is of great importance for human health. But its breeding is always limited by the prohibitive cost of folate profiling. The molecular breeding is a more executable and efficient way for folate fortification, but is limited by the molecular knowledge of folate regulation.

This study aimed to determine the comorbidity of ADHD symptoms and sleep problems as well as the moderating effects of bedtime activities and depression/anxiety symptoms on the relationship between ADHD symptoms and sleep problems.
Methods: We recruited 934 primary students from third to fifth grade and their parents by stratified random sampling from three primary schools in Shanghai, China.
Updating the worldwide prevalence estimates of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has significant applications for the further study of ADHD. However, previous reviews included few samples of Chinese children and adolescents. To conduct a systematic review of ADHD prevalence in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan to determine the possible causes of the varied estimates in Chinese samples and to offer a reference for computing the worldwide pooled prevalence.
