The developments in targeted therapies and molecular pathology have changed the classification of tumors and precision oncology. Pathologists and clinical scientists in molecular pathology and oncologists have regular multidisciplinary meetings and are responsible for translating molecular results into an appropriate treatment plan. Third- and fourth-year bachelor of dental hygiene students (n = 221) and first- and second-year master of dentistry students (n = 203) participated in baseline and follow-up measurements and completed 570 questionnaires. The Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale (RIPLS) was used to measure changes in attitudes toward Interprofessional Education (IPE) during participation in the SRDC.

Following this perspective, an innovative interprofessional dental Master curriculum was developed at Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands.
Educational Principles: The curriculum is based on five contemporary educational principles and the core of the curriculum consists of a Student Run Dental Clinic that is fully run by students under professional supervision.
Given the increasingly aging population, nearly every doctor will encounter elderly adults who present with multiple complex comorbidities that can challenge even experienced physicians. This may explain why many medical students do not have a positive attitude toward elderly adults and find the complexity of their problems overwhelming. It was hypothesized that a recently developed medical school geriatrics course, based on the game GeriatriX and designed specifically to address the complexities associated with decision-making in geriatrics, can have a positive effect on attitudes toward geriatrics and on perceived knowledge of geriatrics.
