Background: The thin anterolateral thigh flap (tALTF) is gaining attention in reconstructive surgery due to its aesthetic and functional advantages. However, its clinical safety and outcomes compared to other commonly used free soft flaps (CUFSFs) remain unclear.
Methods: Studies were systematically searched from PubMed, EMBASE, Medline, Cochrane, Web of Science, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database up to November 2, 2024.
Background: Cervical lymph node metastasis (LNM) is a well-established poor prognosticator of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), in which occult metastasis is a subtype that makes prediction challenging. Here, we developed and validated a deep learning (DL) model using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for the identification of LNM in OSCC patients.
Methods: This retrospective diagnostic study developed a three-stage DL model by 45,664 preoperative MRI images from 723 patients in 10 Chinese hospitals between January 2015 and October 2020.
The synergistic interaction gels of locust bean gum (LBG) /xanthan show great potential for application in the food industry, such as 3D printing and taste/texture simulation. Including 1, 2-propanediol (PDO) significantly promoted the gel-related properties of LBG/xanthan gels. The synergistic interaction between LBG and xanthan was enhanced with the presence of small amounts of PDO (≤ 20 %) due to the dehydration effect of PDO and the resulting promotion of the molecular association.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study was conducted at a single hospital in China. Between January 2020 and December 2023, 12 adolescents with CLP with maxillary hypoplasia were included.
Objective: This study aimed to identify a quantitative index for optical coherence tomography (OCT) images to discriminate tumours from surrounding tissues.
Subjects And Methods: Based on OCT measurements, mean grey values were determined from 432 locations on fifty-four human tissue specimens (eighteen cancerous, para-cancerous, and normal tissues each). These results were histologically evaluated by hematoxylin and eosin staining (H&E).

Bone invasion by head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) significantly impacts tumor staging, treatment choice, prognosis, and quality of life. While HNSCC is known to cause osteolytic bone invasion, we found that specific HNSCC subtypes can induce osteogenic bone destruction at the tumor-bone interface. This destruction mode significantly correlated with reduced patient survival rates and increased neck lymph node metastasis.

Methods: Patients diagnosed with OSCC from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database were enrolled and randomly divided into development (n = 14,495) and internal validation cohort (n = 9625).
