Promoting the equity of health service utilization for patients with hypertension is of great significance for reducing the occurrence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and reducing the economic burden of patients with hypertension. This study aims to analyze the equity and change of outpatient and inpatient service utilization in patients with hypertension, and to explore its influencing factors.

Holter monitoring is a crucial method for evaluating HRV, but the procedure and result analysis are relatively complex. This study aims to develop a simplified diagnostic index for predicting HRV decline in newly diagnosed non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients and evaluate its prognostic value.

Dendrobium catenatum (also known as Dendrobium officinale, hereinafter referred to as D. catenatum) is an important traditional Chinese medicinal herb with remarkable medicinal properties and possessing high economic value.

In this study, we conducted a comprehensive and systematic analysis of immune cell subsets within T cells, B cells, NK cells, and γδ T cells in peripheral blood (PB) samples from women with EN, women with uterine fibroids (UF) but without EN (UF-alone), and healthy controls using multi-parameter flow cytometry. Our findings revealed that UF, a common comorbidity of EN, exhibited similar peripheral immune features to EN, particularly in T cell and B cell immunity.

Probiotics harboring antimicrobial resistant genes (ARGs) have, in recent years, been considered a potential health risk. Studies conducted on probiotics from increasingly popular health supplements have raised the possibility of transmitting ARGs to commensals in the human gut, concomitantly establishing a reservoir of ARGs and risking acquisition by opportunistic pathogens.

Targeted therapeutics are considered an important class for advanced GC treatment. However, the fewer effective therapeutic targets and the poor coverage of the GC population limit the use of GC targeted therapies.

Radiotherapy and chemotherapy are the main treatments; however, metastasis and recurrence remain the main causes of treatment failure. Further, the majority of patients are diagnosed in the late stage due to lack of tumor-specific biomarker for early diagnosis.

Methods: A quasi-experimental design was carried out. Fifty-eight participants were recruited by using consecutive sampling and then divided, according to time period, into either the control group or the experimental group, 29 people for each group.
Ascorbic acid (AA) plays an important role in many physiological and biochemical processes. Adequate quantification of AA is required for controlling the intake of AA for health management. In this study, a portable probe was fabricated based on the assembled FePO@GO nanozyme by homogeneous precipitation.

However, its relationship with bone mineral density (BMD) in young children has not been investigated. This study aimed to examine the cross-sectional and longitudinal associations between adherence to the 24-HMB guidelines and BMD in young children.

Breast cancer is a highly widespread form of malignant tumor characterized by a high rate of recurrence and mortality; it primarily occurs when tumor cells spread to peripheral regions of the body. Macrophages have a significant impact on the proliferation and metastasis of breast cancer. The exosomes generated by these cells exhibit an extensive spectrum of capabilities in suppressing the spread of cancer cells.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLung metastasis in breast cancer (BC) patients is one of the main reasons for their high mortality rate. The most prevalent BC small extracellular vesicles (sEVs receptor, integrin α6β4, has been found to interact with surfactant-associated protein (SFTPC) in lung epithelial cells, making BC more likely to metastasize to the lung. Tumor-associated neutrophils (TANs) play an essential role in BC lung metastasis as a component of the lung pre-metastatic niche (PMN) with two sides.

This hypoxia is critical in the coupling of osteogenesis and angiogenesis during DO. This study aimed to investigate the effect of Uniaxial Static Strain (USS) on osteogenesis in osteoblasts under hypoxic conditions, with a focus on the expression of osteogenic markers and angiogenic factors.

Maintaining stable and high yields under environmental stresses is a long-standing goal of rice breeding but is challenging due to internal trade-off mechanisms. Here, we report wild rice GL12 improves grain length and salt tolerance in both indica and japonica genetic backgrounds.

Gastrointestinal cancer is a common malignant tumor with a high incidence worldwide. Despite continuous improvements in diagnosis and treatment strategies, the overall prognosis of gastrointestinal tumors remains poor. Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is highly expressed in various types of cancers, especially in gastrointestinal cancers, making it a potential target for therapeutic intervention.
