Background: Hypertension usually clusters with multiple comorbidities. However, the association between cardiometabolic multimorbidity (CMM) and mortality in hypertensive patients is unclear. This study aimed to investigate the association between CMM and all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality in Chinese patients with hypertension.

Objective: To compare the effect of Sheng-Xue-Xiao-Ban Capsule (SXXBC) and indirubin to the peripheral platelets of the Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) model mouse.
Methods: The ITP mouse model was established by the method of passive immunization. SXXBC and indirubin were used for intervention treatment.
We undertook a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the effect of vitamin C supplementation (vitamin C solely or as adjunct to other therapy) on prevention of postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) in patients after cardiac surgery. PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library were systematically searched to identify randomized controlled trials assessing the effect of vitamin C supplementation in adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery, and the meta-analysis was performed with a random-effects model. Thirteen trials involving 1956 patients were included.

We thus performed current systematic review and meta-analysis to comprehensively evaluate effects of statin in cardiac surgery. 22 RCTs involving 5243 patients were included.

Materials And Methods: This investigation was designed as a retrospective study of 304 patients who underwent left-sided colorectal surgery. The patients were classified into two groups as those who developed AL and those who did not develop AL, and the CLSs of the two groups were compared.
Remote ischemic preconditioning (RIPC) has been proven to reduce the ischemia-reperfusion injury. However, its effect on children receiving congenital cardiac surgery (CCS) was inconsistent. We therefore performed the current meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to comprehensively evaluate the effect of RIPC in pediatric patients undergoing CCS.

Methods: PubMed and Embase databases were searched. Cohort studies evaluating the association between MetS and risk of MACE and providing the hazard ratio (HR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) or sufficient data to calculate HR and its 95%CI among patients after revascularization were included.

Genetic studies are traditionally based on single-gene analysis. The use of these analyses can pose tremendous challenges for elucidating complicated genetic interplays involved in complex human diseases. Modern pathway-based analysis provides a technique, which allows a comprehensive understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying complex diseases.
