Expression of SNC73, a transcript of the immunoglobulin alpha-1 gene, in human epithelial carcinomas.

Aim: To investigate the expression of SNC73, a trans-cript of the immunoglobulin alpha-1 gene (IgA1-H chain), in human epithelia-derived tumor cells.

Methods: Total RNAs and cell lysates were prepared from five different human epithelial cell lines derived from lung, stomach, liver, skin, and breast, respectively. RT-PCR and immunoblot analysis of these five cell lines were done.

[The long-term effect and associated factors of double embolization of bronchial artery in patients with lung tuberculosis and hemoptysis].

Objective: To investigate the long-term effect and the key factors associated with relapse of double embolization of bronchial artery in patients with lung tuberculosis and hemoptysis.

Methods: Fifty patients with lung tuberculosis and hemoptysis receiving the radiography and double embolization of bronchial artery (BAG + BAE) had been followed up for two years. The causes for hemoptysis relapse was determined, followed by specific treatment, and the effect was evaluated.

[The change and the clinical significance of peripheral blood Th1/Th2 cells in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis].

Objective: To study the change of peripheral blood CD4+ helper T cells and T helper subtype I and II (Th1/Th2) in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and to explore their changes during anti-tuberculosis chemotherapy.

Methods: CD4+ T cells from 105 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and 25 normal controls were counted by Flow Cytometry. Peripheral blood cells were stimulated in vitro by phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) (25 ng/ml) and ionomycin (250 ng/ml).

[Expression and recombination mechanism of SNC73 (IgHalpha1) in human epithelial cancer cell line].

Objective: To study if the gene SNC73 (IgHalpha1) is expressed in human epithelial cancer cell line and to interpret the recombination mechanism.

Methods: Human epithelial cancer cells of SW480 line were cultured. RT-PCR and Western blotting were used to examine the expression of SNC73, recombination activating gene 1 (RAG1), and RAG2.
