The behavioral sensitization, characterized by escalated behavioral responses triggered by recurrent exposure to psychostimulants, involves neurobiological mechanisms that are brain-region and cell-type specific. Enduring neuroadaptive changes have been observed in response to methamphetamine (METH) within the orbitofrontal cortex (OFC), the cell-type specific transcriptional alterations in response to METH sensitization remain understudied. In this study, we utilized Single-nucleus RNA-sequencing (snRNA-seq) to profile the gene expression changes in the OFC of a rat METH sensitization model.

Objective: To investigate whether dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) is noninferior to intravenous thrombolysis among patients with minor nondisabling acute ischemic stroke.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This multicenter, open-label, blinded end point, noninferiority randomized clinical trial included 760 patients with acute minor nondisabling stroke (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale [NIHSS] score ≤5, with ≤1 point on the NIHSS in several key single-item scores; scale range, 0-42).
Objective: The objective is to identify the risk factors for necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in neonates by a meta-analysis, and to provide a reference for the prevention of NEC.
Methods: The databases, including Chinese Biomedical Literature Datebase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang database, and Weipu Periodical database, PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, were searched for studies on the risk factors for NEC in neonates. The meta-analysis was carried out with the aid of Stata software.
Importance: Preclinical and clinical studies have suggested a neuroprotective effect of remote ischemic conditioning (RIC), which involves repeated occlusion/release cycles on bilateral upper limb arteries; however, robust evidence in patients with ischemic stroke is lacking.
Objective: To assess the efficacy of RIC for acute moderate ischemic stroke.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This multicenter, open-label, blinded-end point, randomized clinical trial including 1893 patients with acute moderate ischemic stroke was conducted at 55 hospitals in China from December 26, 2018, through January 19, 2021, and the date of final follow-up was April 19, 2021.
Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common and serious clinical syndrome of acute renal dysfunction in a short period. One of therapeutic interventions for AKI is to reduce ROS massively generated in the mitochondria and then ameliorate cell damage and apoptosis induced by oxidative stress. In this study, stepwise-targeting chitosan oligosaccharide, triphenyl phosphine-low molecular weight chitosan-curcumin (TPP-LMWC-CUR, TLC), was constructed for sepsis-induced AKI via removing excessive ROS in renal tubular epithelial cells.

Purpose: Lung ultrasonography (LU) is useful to assess lung lesions and variations at bedside. To investigate the results of LU in severe and critical patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), we performed a single-institution study to evaluate the related lung lesions and variations, and prophylactic strategies, in a large referral and treatment center.
Methods: We included 91 adult patients with severe and critical COVID-19, namely 62 males and 29 females, with an average age of 59 ± 11 years, who underwent LU.
In contrast to conventional heat treatment processes, electropulsing not only heats an alloy, but also exerts some other positive effects during the heating process. In this paper, the microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of a deformed Zr40Ti5Al4V alloy after electropulsing treatment were investigated. The results showed that when the charging voltage was 2 kV, there was a slight decrease in dislocation density due to the electron wind which softened the alloy even though the highest temperature of the specimen during the treatment was only 86 °C.

Objective: To investigate the effects of exosomes from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells on the development of Treg and TH17 cells.
Methods: Exosomes from the serum-free-culture supernatants of hUC-MSC were harvested by ultracentrifugation. The electron microscopy, nanoparticle tracking analysis and western blot were used to identify the hUC-MSC-exosomes, such as the morphology, the paticle chameter, and the protein content.
Objective: To observe the effect of acupuncture on inflammatory indices and symptoms in patients with acute pelvic inflammatory disease, and investigate its mechanism.
Methods: Seventy-nine patients with acute pelvic inflammatory disease were randomly assigned to a control group (=37) given conventional treatment and an observation group (=42) given conventional treatment and acupuncture therapy. In the observation group, acupionts of Zhongji(CV 3), Guanyuan(CV 4), Zigong(EX-CA 1), Zusanli(ST 36), Sanyinjiao(SP 6), etc.
RNA-binding protein Rbm24 is a key regulator of heart development and required for sarcomere assembly and heart contractility. Yet, its underlying mechanism remains unclear. Here, we link serine/threonine kinase 38 (Stk38) signaling to the regulation of Rbm24 by showing that Rbm24 phosphorylation and its function could be modulated by Stk38.

X-ray crystal structure analysis reveals that these complexes adopt a distorted octahedral geometry. Compared with non-constrained analogues, the Zr(iv) complexes with a cyclic skeleton exhibited high catalytic activities (up to 16.

Post-transcriptional regulation of ESCs is critically governed by cell type-specific splicing. However, little is known about the splicing factors and the molecular mechanisms directing ESC early lineage differentiation.

Despite a large number of investigations having been performed, there is still controversy about which factors are most significant for PCF. The objective of the present meta-analysis was to analyze the potential risk factors for PCF after total laryngectomy.

Purpose: To investigate and study the relationship between the PLCE1 rs2274223 gene polymorphism and susceptibility to esophageal cancer by meta-analysis.
Materials And Methods: The literature was searched in Wanfang, CNKI, PubMed, CBM, Web of Science, MEDLINE, EMBASE, Springer, Elsevier and Cochrane databases from the date of January 1st 2004 to April 1st 2014 to collect case-control studies on the PLCE1 polymorphism and susceptibility to esophageal cancer. For the population genotype distributions of both esophagus cancer and control groups, their odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were taken as effect indexes.
