Raddeanalin, a new flavonoid glycoside from the leaves of Salix raddeana Laksh.

A new flavonoid glycoside, diosmetin 7-O-beta-D-xylopyranosyl(1-6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside, named raddeanalin (1), was isolated from the ethanolic extract of the leaves of Salix raddeana Laksh. together with three known compounds, kaempferol 3-O-glucoside (2), quercetin 3-O-glucoside (3) and quercetin 3-O-rutinoside (4). The structure of new compound was established by the spectral data and chemical properties.

For making use of Ginseng resources and finding new anti-tumor drugs, the anti-tumor activity of three kinds of new panaxadiol fatty acid ester derivates: 3beta-acetoxy panaxadiol (I), 3beta-palmitic acid aceloxy panaxadiol (II), 3beta-octadecanoic acid aceloxy panaxadiol (Ill) and panaxaiol were compared through the method of cell stain and counting. Tumor cell was Vero cell line. Positive control was 5-FU.

Isoginsenoside-Rh3, a new triterpenoid saponin from the fruits of Panax ginseng C. A. Mey.

A new dammarane-type triterpene monoglucoside, named isoginsenoside-Rh(3), has been isolated from the fruits of Panax ginseng C. A. Mey, together with eight known analogs, ginsenoside-Rb(1), -Rb(2), -Rc, -Rd, -Re, -Rg(1), -Rh(1), -Rh(2).
