Metal clusters have become increasingly important in various applications, with ligands playing a crucial role in their construction. In this study, we synthesized a bimetallic cluster, Ag Cu (C=CAr) (DPPB) (Ag Cu ), using a rigid acetylene ligand, 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenylacetylide. Through single-crystal structure characterization, we discovered that the butterfly-shaped Ag Cu motifs were subject to distortion due to steric hindrance imposed by the rigid ligand.

Experiments proved the stability and excellent detection and adsorption ability, and microporous nature of the material. Luminescence of FPOP was quenched when addition of nitroaromatic compounds.

In the presence of zinc ion, macrocyclophane can form aggregates through complexation with pyrophosphate anion and emit ratiometric fluorescence, resulting from an enhancement in its aggregate-state emission and a reduction in its monomer emission. This AIE-active macrocycle showed great potential as a ratiometric fluorescence receptor.

The Rh -Pd heterometallic macrocycles were constructed by using the semi-open palladium(II) source [Pd(en)Cl ] with two free acceptor sites. However, only one kind of macrocycle was found when the shorter ligand L was used, while in for the larger ligand, various spectroscopic techniques demonstrated the coexistence of hexanuclear and octanuclear macrocycles in solution and the proportions of both components depended on concentration and temperature.

Herein, a drug-combination opinion was introduced into "nanomedicine" based on the understanding of Trojan horse-anti-tumor mechanism of inorganic nano-medicines. Moreover, we reported the green and facile synthesis route of mono-dispersed and rod-like zein-conjugated ZnO/Cd(OH)Cl hierarchical nanocomposites.
