Article Synopsis
  • The study compared pectin and hydrolyzed pectin coatings as treatments to reduce acrylamide in fried potato chips.
  • Both coatings effectively reduced acrylamide levels by over 90%, with hydrolyzed pectin outperforming pectin, especially at concentrations greater than 2%.
  • Hydrolyzed pectin also provided better quality characteristics for the chips, including reduced browning and increased crispness, indicating its superior potential for application compared to regular pectin.

The purpose of study was to investigate the in vitro proliferation ability of PHA-induced CIK cells and traditionally prepared CIK cells, the effector cell level and its influence on killing activity to K562 cells, and to analyze the difference between them. The peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMNC) of healthy persons were isolated and divided into A and B group. The CIK cells in A group were obtained by using traditional culture method, the CIK cells in B group were prepared by PHA induction.

In this study we developed a specific and sensitive quantitative PCR (qPCR) method combined with a propidium monoazide (PMA) sample treatment to quantify tdh-positive viable cells of V. parahaemolyticus in raw seafood (PMA-qPCR). The high selectivity of primers and probes were demonstrated by using purified DNA from 57 strains belonging to 18 species.
