Previous studies suggested a relationship between obesity and a high risk of thyroid cancer. However, the association between high body mass index (BMI) and the aggressiveness of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is controversial. In this study, we aimed to investigate the impact of excess BMI on histopathologic aggressiveness of PTC in a Chinese population.

Method: This study was a double blind, sham-controlled randomized clinical trial. Ninety-nine mild NCD-AD patients were randomly assigned to receive a 4-week course treatment of either 40 Hz HD-tACS, HD transcranial direct current stimulation (HD-tDCS), or sham transcranial current stimulation (HD-tCS).
Background: Skeletal muscle injury caused by excessive exercise is one of the most commonly seen clinical diseases. It is indispensable to explore drugs for treating and relieving skeletal muscle injury. Gallic acid (GA) is a polyphenolic extract that has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant biological activities.

There is a need for S1PR-specific radioligands with clinically suitable brain pharmcokinetic properties to complement existing radiotracers. This work evaluated a promising S1PR radiotracer, [F]TZ4877, in nonhuman primates.

Efficient therapeutic targets are beneficial to treat and predict the disease. Currently, the exact molecular mechanisms leading to the progression of HCC are still unclear.

This study was to establish a prediction model for AKI 24 hours in advance for ICU patients and to help clinicians monitor patients at an early stage by key features.
Methods: In this study, the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care (MIMIC) databases were used to construct a dataset of critically ill patients.
Motivation: Most drugs start on their journey inside the body by binding the right target proteins. This is the reason that numerous efforts have been devoted to predicting the drug-target binding during drug development. However, the inherent diversity among molecular properties, coupled with limited training data availability, poses challenges to the accuracy and generalizability of these methods beyond their training domain.

However, the underlying mechanism of BRD4 in renal fibrosis remains unclear. To construct in vitro and in vivo models of renal fibrosis, TCMK-1 cells were subjected to TGF-β1 treatment and mice were subjected to UUO surgery and adenine induction.

Identification of the genes that consistently show altered expression across patients' cohorts can expose effective therapeutic targets and strategies. To identify such genes, we separately analyzed five human PDAC microarray datasets.

Backgound: Preformed metal crowns (PMCs) and zirconia crowns (ZCs) are commonly used for the treatment of primary molar caries. However, there have been no reports on factors influencing parental awareness, willingness to use these treatments, and the associated discomfort after crown placement in children. This study is the first to report factors influencing preformed crowns, providing a reference for the prevention and treatment of deciduous carious teeth.

However, regular aspirin use may raise concerns of increased disease activity in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We aimed to evaluate the prevalence of LDA use in pregnant IBD patients and the effect of LDA on IBD disease activity.

Traditional deep learning-based bearing fault diagnosis algorithms rely on large amounts of training data; training and inference processes consume significant computational resources. Thus, developing a lightweight and suitable fault diagnosis algorithm for small samples is particularly crucial.

Population studies have shown that serum folate levels are closely related to body weight. The regulation of folic acid on lipid metabolism has been fully confirmed in both in vivo and in vitro studies.

The strategy was based on the effects of pressure fluctuations at the abrasive flow inlet and outlet on pressure distribution patterns and pressure changes within the inner hole flow field, as derived from numerical simulations. An adaptive control fixture was also designed, enabling dynamic adjustments to the fixture gap, which significantly reduced the pressure difference in the flow field.

This study assessed obesity in 204 captive Asian elephants across 43 facilities by recording seven potentially relevant variables: sex, age, daily feed supply, proportion of high-calorie feed, outdoor enclosure area, outdoor time, and foot disorders. Body condition was evaluated using visual scoring, revealing a high prevalence of overweight and obesity, particularly in zoo-kept elephants.

Its pathogenesis is complex, involving a multitude of factors including genetic background, lifestyle, and dietary habits. Early detection and treatment are key to improving survival rates for patients with CRC.

Therefore, developing highly efficient and durable nanozymes is of great significance for treating diseases related to oxidative stress. In recent years, prussian blue nanoparticles (PBNPs) have been demonstrated to possess multiple enzyme-like catalytic activities and are thus referred to as prussian blue nanozymes (PBNZs).
