Resolvin D1 (RvD1) is an endogenous anti-inflammatory mediator that modulates the inflammatory response and promotes inflammation resolution. RvD1 has demonstrated neuroprotective effects in various central nervous system contexts; however, its role in the pathophysiological processes of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and the potential protective mechanisms when combined with exercise rehabilitation remain unclear. A mouse model of ICH was established using collagenase, and treatment with RvD1 combined with three weeks of exercise rehabilitation significantly improved neurological deficits, muscle strength, learning, and memory in ICH mice while reducing anxiety-like behavior.

Renal interstitial fibrosis, a condition prevalent in aging humans and animals, is closely linked to the eventual development of renal failure. Establishing an animal model that exactly replicates the pathogenesis of renal interstitial fibrosis induced by natural aging in humans is crucial for advancing mechanistic studies and testing antifibrotic therapies. Implanted allogeneic or xenogeneic cells are cleared by the immune system when stem cell therapy is applied in nonimmunodeficient animal fibrosis models, affecting the effect of the intervention and making it difficult to demonstrate the survival, proliferation, differentiation, or secretion of the delivered autologous human-derived cells.

Metal selenides are very promising anode materials for sodium ion batteries (SIBs) due to their rich redox behaviors, low cost, high theoretical capacity, and environmentally benign. However, the poor cycle performance and rate capability greatly hinder their widespread applications. In this paper, we have proposed a tannic acid etching zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF-67)-derived selenide strategy to construct hollow heterogeneous CoSe-FeSe@N-doped carbon rhombic dodecahedron (CoSe-FeSe@NC) as anode for high-performance SIBs.

Background: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is an age-related disease severely affecting life quality with its prevalence rising as the population ages, yet there is still no effective treatment available. Cell therapy has emerged as a promising option for IPF, however, the absence of mature and stable animal models for IPF immunodeficiency hampers preclinical evaluations of human cell therapies, primarily due to rapid immune clearance of administered cells. This study aims to establish a reliable pulmonary fibrosis (PF) model in immunodeficient mice that supports autologous cell therapy and to investigate underlying mechanism.

Early onset familial Alzheimer's disease (FAD) with APP, PS1/2 (presenilins) mutation accounts for only a small portion of AD cases, and most are late-onset sporadic. However, majority of AD mouse models are developed to mimic the genetic cause of human AD by overexpressing mutated forms of human APP, PS1/2, and/or Tau protein, though there is no Tau mutation in AD, and no single mouse model recapitulates all aspects of AD pathology. Here, we report Thy1-ApoE4/C/EBPβ double transgenic mouse model that demonstrates key AD pathologies in an age-dependent manner in absence of any human APP or PS1/2 mutation.
