At present, hydrothermal deposition techniques are unique to attain high-efficiency antimony sulfide (SbS) solar cells. It is very common that during the mixing of antimony and sulfur sources before the hydrothermal reaction, the solution quickly changes from colorless to yellow due to the formation of amorphous SbS particles. However, the effect of presynthesized SbS particles on the deposition kinetics of SbS absorber layers and the device performance is completely unknown.

Background: Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC) therapy is a novel approach for treating COPD. However, the difficulty in engraftment and easy clearance of BMSCs in vivo has hindered their clinical application. Hence, exploring effective methods to improve the engraftment and differentiation rates of BMSCs in vivo is urgent.

Electrochemical nitrite (NO) is a promising technology for NO removal and a sustainable method for generating valuable ammonia (NH), but this process is intricate and generates other byproducts. In this work, we propose a facile and low-cost method for the preparation of a CuMoO nanosheet array, which can serve as an efficient electrocatalyst for the reduction of NO to NH. The morphology of CuMoO can be adjusted by controlling the synthesis conditions.

In this study, we systematically investigate the interactions between glycosylated and nonglycosylated forms of Apolipoprotein D (ApoD) with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) functionalized with different polymer coatings, including polyethylene glycol (PEG) and zwitterionic polymers. Using all-atom molecular dynamics simulations, we demonstrate that glycosylation significantly enhances the adsorption behavior of ApoD on AuNP surfaces, with the extent of this enhancement being dependent on the type (especially the charge property) of the polymer coatings.

In this work, a novel memristor based on the Sb(S,Se) material with an alloy of S and Se was fabricated. A systematic investigation of the correlation between the Se/(S + Se) ratio and memristive performance revealed that Ag/Sb(S,Se)/FTO memristive behavior is uniquely associated with the formation and disruption of anion vacancies and silver filaments.

Methods: Relevant literature published in databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, VIP, PubMed, and Web of Science from the inception to December of 2023 was retrieved. The literature was screened based on inclusion and exclusion criteria to establish a prescription database for acupuncture treatment of PD.
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections promote liver cancer initiation by inducing inflammation and cellular stress. Despite a primarily indirect effect on oncogenesis, HBV is associated with a recurrent genomic phenotype in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), suggesting that it impacts the biology of established HCC. Characterization of the interaction of HBV with host proteins and the mechanistic contributions of HBV to HCC initiation and maintenance could provide insights into HCC biology and uncover therapeutic vulnerabilities.

DNA replication stress is a significant contributor to spontaneous DNA damage and genome instability. While the impact of p53 deficiency on increasing DNA replication stress is known, the specific molecular mechanism underlying this phenomenon remains poorly understood. This study explores how p53 deficiency induces DNA replication stress by activating mTORC1 through R-loop formation, which is facilitated by the upregulation of RNR.
