Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) exhibits a high incidence globally, with the liver being the most common site of distant metastasis. At the time of diagnosis, 20-30% of CRC patients already present with liver metastases. Colorectal liver metastasis (CRLM) is a major cause of mortality among CRC patients.

In this work, we demonstrated the epitaxial growth of a gallium nitride (GaN) buffer structure on 200 mm SOI (silicon-on-insulator) substrates. This epitaxial layer is grown using a reversed stepped superlattice buffer (RSSL), which is composed of two superlattice (SL) layers with different Al component ratios stacked in reverse order. The upper layer, with a higher Al component ratio, introduces tensile stress instead of accumulative compressive stress and reduces the in situ curvature of the wafer, thereby achieving a well-controlled wafer bow ≤ ±50 µm for a 3.

Elevated oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) has been linked to cancer stemness, a determinant of chemoresistance. However, the mechanisms underlying increased OXPHOS during cancer cell chemoresistance remain unclear.

Previous single approach-based models perform poorly in validation. Herein, we introduce a machine learning model that evolves from a single-dimensional tumor diameter to incorporate high-dimensional radiomic features, with its effectiveness assessed using the macro-average area under the receiver operating characteristic curves (AUCs).

It has been gradually realized that certain residues on the CP are crucial for functions such as virus particle movement and assembly. However, there are few reports of potential drugs successfully targeting these key residues with unique mechanisms of action.

As an alternative, the rota-tripsy procedure is a novel strategy for the modification of calcification lesions. This study aimed to evaluate and compare the efficacy and safety of rota-tripsy and step-up-approach rotational atherectomy, given the limited clinical data available.

A wavelength-switchable ytterbium-doped mode-locked fiber laser is reported in this article. Two Mach-Zehnder interferometers (MZIs, denoted as MZI1, MZI2) with close free spectral ranges (FSRs) are connected in series to form a Vernier effect sensor. By utilizing the filtering effect of the Vernier effect sensor, the wavelength-switchable output of an ytterbium-doped mode-locked fiber laser is realized.

It has been demonstrated that C3aR activation exacerbates neuronal damage in a number of neurological disorders. This study aims to explore the role of C3a in activating the NLRP3 inflammasome and exacerbating neuroinflammation after SAH.

Xi'an, situated in central-west China, has witnessed an increase imported cases in the past few years, raising concerns of local dengue transmission.

Due to the intrinsic high strain energy, it remains a long-standing challenge to prepare 1,1'-bicyclopropenyl derivatives, particularly multisubstituted, nonsymmetrical ones, in an efficient and modular manner. Herein a straightforward Au/Ag bimetallic-catalyzed cyclopropenyl cross-coupling has been developed, providing a robust and versatile strategy for the rapid assembly of symmetrical and unsymmetrical 1,1'-bicyclopropenyl derivatives from cyclopropenyl benziodoxoles (CpBXs) and terminal cyclopropenes.

Stress granules (SGs) are non-membranous organelles composed of mRNA and proteins that assemble in the cytosol when the cell is under stress. Although the composition of mammalian SGs is both cell-type and stress-dependent, they consistently contain core components, such as Ras GTPase activating protein SH3 domain binding protein 1 (G3BP1). Upon stress, living cells rapidly assemble micrometric SGs, sometimes within a few minutes, suggesting that SG components may be actively transported by the microtubule and/or actin cytoskeleton.

Stress granules (SGs) are cytoplasmic aggregates of proteins and mRNA that form in response to diverse environmental stressors, including viral infections. Several viruses possess the ability to block the formation of stress granules by targeting the SGs marker protein G3BP. However, the molecular functions and mechanisms underlying the regulation of SGs formation by Getah virus (GETV) remain unclear.

Combined with the formation conditions of AMD, the comprehensive treatment technology of source reduction-end treatment is adopted to treat the AMD.

Natural variation in photosystem response to senescence represents a valuable resource for improving the aging traits of flag leaves. To explore the natural variation of different phases of photosynthetic electron transport in modern wheat cultivars during senescence, we exposed the flag leaves of 32 wheat cultivars to dark conditions to induce senescence process, and simultaneously measured prompt fluorescence and modulated 820 nm reflection.

Residential solid fuel combustion significantly impacts air quality and human health. Pelletized biomass fuels are promoted as a cleaner alternative, particularly for those who cannot afford the high costs of gas/electricity, but their emission characteristics and potential effects remain poorly understood. The present laboratory-based study evaluated pollution emissions from pelletized biomass burning, including CH (methane), NMHC (nonmethane hydrocarbon compounds), CO, SO, NO, PM (particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter ≤2.
