Background: Dental caries is a common disease under the action of many factors. Dental caries may occur in all age groups, among which children and adolescents are at high risk of dental caries. Early identification of the risk factors of dental caries is very important for clinical staff to prevent and intervene as soon as possible and reduce the incidence of dental caries.

Carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC) and poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) were used as the carrier of DTX nanoparticles (CPNP), and methoxy polyethylene glycol-poly (β-amino ester) (mPEG-PAE) was used as the carrier of BVZ nanoparticles (PPNP). Then, the two nanoparticles were physically mixed in mass ratios to form mixed co-delivery nanoparticles, which was named as CPNP&PPNP.

SCC, as a porphyrin compound, can be photonically excited to induce a stronger photothermal effect. GO offers superior molecular adsorption and thermal conductivity properties; depositing it on the LPFG surface significantly improves the sensitivity and detection efficiency of the SCC photothermal signal, when irradiated with a 405 nm laser.

The Hedonic and Eudaimonic Motives for Activities-Revised scale (HEMA-R) is one of the most extensively used instruments to assess how people pursue well-being. The main aims of the present research were to translate HEMA-R into Chinese and test its construct and predictive validity as well as measurement invariance across gender. In Study 1, we conducted confirmatory factor analysis with data containing 1090 Chinese undergraduates, and replicated the two-factor model which has been found in other studies.

Design: Information on spicy food flavour and intake frequency was obtained using a two-item questionnaire survey. Dietary data were collected using a validated thirteen-item FFQ.
Background: Histone lysine methylation plays an important role in plant development and stress responses by activating or repressing gene expression. Histone lysine methylation is catalyzed by a class of SET-domain group proteins (SDGs). Although an increasing number of studies have shown that SDGs play important regulatory roles in development and stress responses, the functions of SDGs in apple remain unclear.

Here, we investigated whether miRNAs might be involved in mediating the suppression of malignant properties of GBM by melatonin (MEL), an amine hormone secreted by the pineal gland. Sequencing was performed to screen specifically for miRNAs induced by MEL in U87 and an orthotopically xenografted primary GBM cell line, GBM#P3.

PD pathogenesis remains inconclusive, but aberrant immune responses might play important roles. We hypothesized that imbalance between T helper (Th) 1 and regulatory T (Treg) cells was essential in experimental PD.

In this study, we report a photocurable bismaleimide ink with excellent comprehensive performance for stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing. First, the main chain of bismaleimide with an amino group (BDM) was synthesized, and then, the glycidyl methacrylate was grafted to the amino group to obtain the bismaleimide oligomer with an unsaturated double bond.

A total of 1143 rural residents were recruited randomly from Henan Province, China. The circulating methylation levels in α promoter region were determined by quantitative methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction.

Previous studies has showed that meat intake is associated with sex hormones levels, but it is unknown whether meat intake is associated with GCs levels. Furthermore, the role of meat intake in the associations between PM and GCs levels remains unclear.

It has been demonstrated that using multi-channel curved crystals and a framing camera to observe the laser-produced target pellets doped with tracer elements is an appropriate method for investigating this law. This paper presents a feasible design scheme for a multi-channel toroidal imager, with the ray trace model used to verify the rationality of the evaluation method and the aberration of single toroidal crystal imaging.

The effects of Apoptin on ER function and structure in HepG-2 cells were determined by flow cytometry, fluorescence staining and western blotting by assessing the expression levels of ER stress related proteins. The effects of Apoptin on HepG-2 cells' lipid metabolism were determined by western blot analysis of the expression levels of triglyceride, cholesterol, and lipid metabolism related enzymes.

Tropomyosin (TM) is the main crustacean allergen; it has a coiled-coil structure, which shows stability to various food processing methods. Crustacean processed products have been used in several food products, thereby causing greater difficulties in detecting TM in these products.

Lithium-metal batteries (LMBs) are promising electrochemical energy storage devices with high energy densities. However, the extreme reactivity of metallic lithium, the large volumetric change of the electrode during cycling, and the notorious dendrite formation issues lead to low cyclic stability and safety concerns, hindering the practical application of LMBs. In particular, the intrinsic tendency of uneven lithium deposition and the large internal electrode stress lead to the piecing of solid electrolyte interphases (SEIs), thereby resulting in fast decay of the anode.

However, due to the randomness of sampling, it is hard to identify whether the unique characteristics of bacterial communities on plastic debris is due to the plastics as substrate itself, or the accumulation and transportation by plastics. Therefore, the ecological effects of bacterial communities on plastic debris, including the species invasion, are still not clear.
