Sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy is currently the standard procedure for clinical cancer diagnosis and treatment, but still faces the risks of false negatives and tumor metastasis, as well as time-consuming pathological evaluation procedure. Herein, we proposed a near-infrared-II (NIR-II, 1000-1700 nm) theranostic nanosystem (FLAGC) for rapid, non-invasive, accurate diagnosis and efficient clearance of metastatic lymph nodes in breast cancer. Initialized by chlorin e6 (Ce6), a pH-sensitive amphiphilic amino acid fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl-L-histidine (Fmoc-His) was assembled with Gd, luminol, and AgAuSe quantum dots (AAS QDs) to form FLAGC.

Red blood cell (RBC)-based carriers have emerged as promising vehicles for drug delivery due to their inherent biocompatibility and biodegradability. Traditional methods for loading nanoparticles (NPs) onto RBC surfaces often involve labor-intensive processes like incubation and multiple centrifugation steps, limiting their practicality and controllability. In this study, we introduce a fully integrated acoustofluidic platform that enables one-step preparation of NP-loaded RBC carriers with controlled modification and on-site purification.

In wheat (Triticum aestivum), early maturity is desired to avoid the hot and dry summer season, especially in view of climate change. Here, we report that TaE3V1, a C3H2C3 RING-type E3 ligase that interacts with TaVRN1, is associated with early development. Aside from its RING domain, TaE3V1 does not harbor any domains that are conserved in other RING-type or other E3 ligase proteins.

The increasing frequency and intensity of low-temperature events in temperate and cold rice production regions threaten rice yields under climate change. While process-based crop models can project climate impacts on rice yield, their accuracy under low-temperature conditions has not been well-evaluated. Our six-year chamber experiments revealed that low temperatures reduce spikelet fertility from panicle initiation to flowering, grain number per spike during panicle development, and grain weight during grain filling.

Exosomes are cell-derived nanovesicles that play a crucial role in intercellular communication, presenting promising potential as biomarkers and therapeutic agents. Bovine milk exosomes (MK-Exo) show production scalability and cost-effectiveness, offering distinct advantages over cell-derived exosomes. However, exosome storage and transportation are challenging owing to their unstable nature, necessitating preservation at ultralow temperatures.

In this study, we present a pump-free SERS microfluidic chip capable of detecting liver cancer-related miR-21 and miR-155 concurrently with ultra-sensitivity and high efficiency. We employed a FeO@cDNA-AuNPs@Raman reporter@H composite structure and a recognition competition strategy. When the target miRNAs (miR-21 and miR-155) are present in the test liquid, they specifically compete with the nucleic acid complementary strand(H) of FeO@cDNA-AuNPs@Raman reporter@H, causing AuNPs to competitively detach from the surface of FeO, resulting in a decrease in the SERS signal.
