Transition metal dichalcogenides display a high technological potential due to their wide range of electronic ground states. Here, we unveil that by tuning hydrostatic pressure P, a cascade of electronic phase transitions can be induced in the few-layer transition metal dichalcogenide 1T'-WS. As P increases, we observe the suppression of superconductivity with the concomitant emergence of an anomalous Hall effect (AHE) at GPa.

Background: Dry eye disease (DED) predominantly results from elevated tear film osmolarity, which can not only cause ocular inconvenience but may lead to visual impairments, severely compromising patient well-being and exerting substantial economic burdens as well. Astaxanthin (AST), a member of the xanthophylls and recognized for its robust abilities to combat inflammation and oxidation, is a common dietary supplement. Nonetheless, the precise molecular pathways through which AST influences DED are still poorly understood.

Hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome (HIES) is a rare primary immunodeficiency disorder characterized by recurrent infections, severe eczema, and elevated serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels. Genetic testing traditionally focuses on known genes such as and , responsible for the majority of autosomal-dominant (AD-HIES) and autosomal-recessive (AR-HIES) cases, respectively. However, a significant subset of patients with HIES-like symptoms remain genetically unexplained.

Multiview clustering (MVC) is a proven, effective approach to boosting the various downstream tasks given by unlabeled data. In contemporary society, domain-specific multiview data, such as multiphase postoperative liver tumor contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) images, may be vulnerable to exploitation by illicit organizations or may not be comprehensively collected due to patient privacy concerns. Thus, these can be modeled as incomplete multiview clustering (IMVC) problems.

The activation of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1)/nuclear factor-erythroid 2 related factor 2 (Nrf2) pathway contributes to enhance anti-inflammatory M2 microglia polarization and inhibit proinflammatory M1 microglia polarization, which is essential to resist neuroinflammation and thus resist depression. The prevalence of depression is high in adolescents, who are hypersensitive to chronic stress. Traditional pediatric massage (TPM) can effectively relieve depression.

Antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) have become a major focus in environmental safety and human health, with concerns about non-antibiotic substances like microplastics facilitating their horizontal gene transfer. Phthalate esters (PAEs), as ubiquitous plastic additives, are prevalent in aquatic environments, yet there remains a dearth of studies examining their impacts on ARG dissemination. This study focuses on dibutyl phthalate (DBP), a prototypical PAE, to assess its potential influence on the conjugative transfer of ARGs along with the related molecular mechanisms.

Objective: TAFRO syndrome, entailing thrombocytopenia, anasarca, fever, reticulin fibrosis, and organomegaly, was previously considered a subtype of idiopathic multicentric Castleman disease (iMCD-TAFRO), with the diagnosis requiring pathology supporting Castleman disease. However, lymph node biopsies may be difficult for TAFRO patients (TAFRO without pathological evidence: TAFRO-w/op-iMCD), and sometimes these biopsies do not confirm iMCD (TAFRO-w/o-iMCD). We aimed to compare the clinical features and prognosis of TAFRO subgroups.

Amikacin (AMK) is a semisynthetic antibiotic used in the treatment of gram-negative bacterial infections and has a narrow therapeutic index. Individualized treatment of amikacin under the guidance of therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is important to reduce the occurrence of toxicity and improve clinical efficacy. Current TDM techniques for AMK, such as chromatographic technology and immunoassay, are conducted in central labs using specialized equipment.

Non-antibiotic conditions, including organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs), have been implicated in the horizontal gene transfer (HGT) of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) to varying degrees. While most studies focus on the toxicity of OPPs to humans and animals, their roles in ARG dissemination remain largely unexplored. In this study, we investigate the effects and involved molecular mechanisms of environmentally relevant concentrations of malathion and dimethoate, two representative OPPs, on plasmid-mediated conjugal transfer.

Ryanodine receptor 2 (RyR2) protein, a calcium ion release channel in the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) of myocardial cells, plays a crucial role in regulating cardiac systolic and diastolic functions. Mutations in RyR2 and its dysfunction are implicated in various congenital heart diseases (CHDs). Studies have shown that mutations in the RYR2 gene, which encodes the RyR2 protein, are linked to several cardiac arrhythmias, including catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT), long QT syndrome (LQTS), calcium release deficiency syndrome (CRDS), and atrial fibrillation (AF).
