A TaqMan miRNA array explored serum miRNA profiles as a pilot study, then selected miRNAs were analyzed in a validation cohort consisting of 65 PCOS women with IGM, 65 PCOS women with NGT, and 45 healthy women The relative expression of miR-122, miR-193b, and miR-194 was up-regulated in PCOS patients compared with controls, whereas that of miR-199b-5p was down-regulated. Purpose: The objective of this retrospective study was to determine whether patients undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) benefit from reducing the gamete co-incubation time.
Methods: Patients (n = 570) were enrolled, including 281 patients in the reduced incubation time group (2-h incubation) and 289 patients in the standard IVF group (18-h incubation).
Results: The observed outcomes, including the clinical pregnancy rate (CPR), implantation rate (IR), live birth rate (LBR), and miscarriage rate (MR), were similar between the two groups.

Objective: To understand the clinical outcomes of frozen embryo transfer and fresh embryo transfer.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 870 cases receiving embryo transfer at the Reproductive Medical Center of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital from January 2013 to March 2014, including 577 cases of in vitro fertilization and fresh embryo transfer, 118 cases of intracytoplasmic sperm injection and fresh embryo transfer and 175 cases of frozen thawed embryo transfer, to compare the clinical characteristics and outcomes between fresh embryo transfer group and frozen embryo transfer group (the patients who had received unsuccessful fresh embryo transfer). The frozen embryo transfer group was divided into pregnant subgroup and non pregnant subgroup to further comparison.
Background: A sequenced house dust mite (HDM) genome would advance our understanding of HDM allergens, a common cause of human allergies.
Objective: We sought to produce an annotated Dermatophagoides farinae draft genome and develop a combined genomic-transcriptomic-proteomic approach for elucidation of HDM allergens.
Methods: A D farinae draft genome and transcriptome were assembled with high-throughput sequencing, accommodating microbiome sequences.
Heat-stabilized, defatted rice bran (HDRB) serves as a potential source of phenolic compounds which have numerous purported health benefits. An estimated 70% of phenolics present in rice bran are esterified to the arabinoxylan residues of the cell walls. Release of such compounds could provide a value-added application for HDRB.
