Memtransistors composed of 2D van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures are crucial for constructing artificial synaptic devices and realizing neuromorphic computing. The functional integration containing ultralow power, nonvolatile memory, and biomimetic synaptic behavior endows such devices with broad prospects. Here, we develop an optoelectronic memtransistor based on the WS/InSe vdW heterostructure and realize significant optical and electrical synaptic properties, which can simulate both short-range plasticity (STP) and long-range plasticity (LTP) of biological synapses.

Contact-electro-catalysis (CEC) has emerged as a promising catalytic methodology, integrating principles from solid-liquid triboelectric nanogenerators (SL-TENGs) into catalysis. Unlike conventional approaches, CEC harnesses various forms of mechanical energy, including wind and water, along with other renewable sources, enabling reactions under natural conditions without reliance on specific energy inputs like light or electricity. This review presents the basic principles of CEC and discusses its applications, including the degradation of organic molecules, synthesis of chemical substances, and reduction of metals.

Here, we studied a commonly used inhaled anesthetic, sevoflurane, and an intravenous anesthetic, propofol, on vascular endothelial permeability using multiple in vitro assays and a mouse model.
Methods: Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and mouse pulmonary endothelial cells (MPECs) were used for in vitro models to test the effect of anesthetics on endothelial permeability.
Salicylic acid (SA) plays a crucial role in alleviating drought stress in plants. However, little is known about the molecular mechanisms underlying exogenous SA on the drought tolerance of kenaf. In this study, the kenaf seedlings were subjected to physiological and transcriptomic analysis under control (CK), moderate drought stress (D), and moderate drought stress with 1 mM SA (D_SA).

However, the BiVO photoanode commonly suffers from poor charge carrier transport and sluggish water oxidation kinetics, which limits its PEC performance. Nitrogen (N) doping has been proven as an effective approach to improve electric conductivity and accelerate the water oxidation kinetics of the BiVO photoanode.

This study presents a multidimensional gut microbiota profile from a large cohort of RA patients, stratified by disease stage and treatment regimens, and compared to healthy controls. Our dataset comprises gut microbiota profiles from 2,238 individuals, including 1,034 RA patients (Ascia Pacific RA cohort, APRAC) and 1,204 healthy controls.

Background: For decades, researchers have been searching for objective laboratory markers to measure and define attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder. However, in clinical practice, the most commonly used tools are still psychological scales, which are neither objective nor laboratory-based. This reliance on scales may stem from the fact that they are currently the only available method in this field for collecting daily-life data, and such data plays an irreplaceable role in defining mental disorders.

Patients And Methods: This is a randomized controlled, 12-week intervention study with participants randomized into the FR group (n=39) and the treatment as usual group (TAU, n=42) at the 1∶1 ratio. 17-Hamilton Depression Rating Scale-17 (HDRS-17), Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS), and Measurement and Treatment Research to Improve Cognition in Schizophrenia (MATRICS) Consensus Cognitive Battery (MCCB) were used to assess affective symptoms and cognitive functioning both at baseline and week 12, respectively.
With the rapid increase in the number of implant operations, the incidence of bone infections has increased. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and other emerging fully drug-resistant strains make the management of bone infections even more challenging.

Abnormal activation of the Ras/Raf/MAPK/ERK kinase cascade and the VEGF pathway is a common feature in breast cancer. However, the efficacy of sorafenib in breast cancer treatment remains limited.

However, clinical applications of Tan IIA are limited due to its poor solubility in water. : To overcome this limitation, we developed a calcium alginate hydrogel (CA) as a hydrophilic carrier for Tan IIA, which significantly improved its solubility.

Radish sprout additives, subjected to short-term storage and steam treatment, were used to intervene in an in vitro culture of human gut microbiota. The influence of radish sprouts on the gut microbiota was evaluated by monitoring short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) content and proportion in the fermentation broth, and microbial diversity was assessed using 16S rDNA amplicon sequencing.

Method: We summarized and analyzed the clinical data of 11 patients with primary pulmonary angiosarcoma treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University between January 2018 and January 2024. A retrospective analysis was conducted in conjunction with a review of the relevant literature.
Light conversion films are crucial for optimizing vegetable crop production in greenhouses, particularly during winter and spring seasons. This study investigated the effects of a europium-based light conversion film (RPO) compared to traditional polyolefin film (PO film, control) on cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) cultivation, focusing on handle length, yield, and fruit quality in a randomized complete block design with three replications.

The solubility, structural characteristics, transmission electron microscopy, asymmetric-flow field-flow fractionation, steady shear rheological property and multiple light scattering of MP deamidated by PG (MP-PG) and MP pretreated with ultrasound followed by PG deamidation (MP-U-PG) were determined. Molecular docking and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were used to estimate the interaction between PG and MP.
