The global quest for clean energy and sustainable processes makes advanced membrane extremely attractive for energy-intensive industrial gas separations. Here, we disclosed a series of ultra-high-performance gas separation membranes (PIM-3D-TB) from novel network polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIM) that combine the advantages of solution processible PIM and small pore size distribution (PSD) of porous organic polymers (POP), which was synthesized by in situ copolymerization of triptycene-2,6-diamine as linear part and triptycene-2,6,13(14)-triamine (TTA) as crosslinker. The resulting PIM-3D-TB membranes demonstrated outstanding separation properties that outperformed the latest trade-off lines for H/CH and O/N.

This unique chemical structure causes trehalose levels to fluctuate significantly in plants under stress, where it functions as an osmoprotectant, enhancing plant resistance to stress. Previous studies have confirmed that the trehalose synthesis pathway is widely conserved across most plants.

Methods: This study included 37,316 eligible participants, with data collected between1998 and 2021. The LAP trajectory patterns were identified through latent mixture modeling.
Although serum uric acid (SUA) is a risk factor for cardiometabolic outcome, but it remains unclear which patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) benefit the most from SUA lowering therapy (ULT). The association of SUA level, systemic inflammation and cardiometabolic risk is still unclear. The current study is aimed to examine whether SUA-associated cardiometabolic risk is modulated by systemic inflammation in CAD patients.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTrichlorfon (TCF) is a widely used organophosphate pesticide whose inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) results in neurotoxicity and significant biosafety risks. Addressing these concerns requires effective strategies to mitigate TCF-induced toxicity and safeguard exposed organisms. In this study, we explored the potential of a catalytic activity enhanced Culex pipiens AChE mutant to mitigate TCF-induced cytotoxicity through rational design.

Materials And Methods: This study included 52 394 participants from the prospective project, the Prediction for Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease Risk in China (China-PAR). The CVAI was calculated using measures of age, body mass index, waist circumference, triglycerides and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
Purpose: This study aimed to build a comprehensive understanding of the nutritional guidance needs of gastric cancer survivors in the primary healthcare setting that could be fulfilled by community health service centers as part of their primary healthcare services.
Methods: Gastric cancer survivors were invited to participate in a questionnaire-based survey by convenience sampling method from the community health center. Relationships between nutritional demand and potential influence factors were examined by a multivariable logistic regression model.

This review article is focused on the development and application of two types of emerging two-dimensional (2D) materials, namely MXenes and MBenes, in the field of gas detection. Owing to its excellent electrical conductivity, specific surface area, and tunable surface functionality, MXenes have demonstrated high sensitivity and rapid response in detecting a variety of gases, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nitrogen dioxide (NO), and ammonia (NH). MBenes are relatively newly discovered materials with excellent electronic stability and gas adsorption capabilities.

The existing ray tracing methods for F-GRIN have low calculation efficiency and require manual adjustment of step size, making the design process complex. To address this, we propose an adaptive ray tracing (ART) method for F-GRIN.

Guanylate binding proteins (GBPs) are a family of GTPase involving innate immune responses by providing defense against invading microbes and pathogens. However, the immunological significances of GBPs in MSS CRC remain unknown.

Herein, a highly selective and continuous-flow electrochemical oxidation process of toluene to various oxygenated products (benzyl alcohol, benzaldehyde, and benzyl acetate) is developed with the electrocatalytic membrane electrodes (ECMEs). The selectivity of target products can be manipulated via surface and interface engineering of CoO-based electrocatalysts.

We uncover a phase transition from a zero-field Dirac spin liquid to a field-induced magnetically disordered phase that exhibits the 1/9-magnetization plateau. Through a comprehensive analysis encompassing the magnetization distribution, spin correlations, chiral order parameter, topological entanglement entropy, ground-state degeneracy, Chern number, and excitation spectrum, we pinpoint the phase associated with this magnetization plateau as a chiral Z_{3} topological quantum spin liquid and elucidate its diverse physical properties.

This study employed the Glide SP (standard precision)-peptide method to predict the binding modes of 20 dipeptides and 20 tripeptides to these targets, correlating residue composition and position with binding energy. Strong preferences for Trp, Phe, and Tyr were observed at all positions of potential inhibitory peptides, whereas negatively charged residues Glu and Asp were disfavored.

Indoxacarb is a chiral insecticide that consists of two enantiomers, S-(+)-indoxacarb and R-(-)-indoxacarb, of which only S-(+)-indoxacarb has insecticidal activity. Previous enantioselective toxicology studies of indoxacarb focused mostly on simple environmental model organisms. The lack of a toxicology evaluation of indoxacarb conducted in a mammalian system could mean that the extent of the potential health risk posed by the insecticide to humans is not adequately known.

NUAK2 is a member of the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) family, which plays an essential role in cellular processes such as apoptosis, proliferation, and cell fate. Recent studies have already shown that silencing of NUAK2 blocks proliferation and promotes apoptosis of human melanoma cells and liver cancer cells. In addition, NUAK2 is involved in the development of glioblastoma via regulating the expression of cancer stem cell-related genes, and it promotes the cell cycle entry in the glioblastoma cells.
