Objective: Yang-deficiency constitution (YADC) is a common unbalanced constitution that predisposes individuals to certain diseases. However, not all people with YADC manifest develop diseases. This calls for delineation of the underlying molecular mechanisms.

We investigated the signal relationship between phospholipase Dα1 (PLDα1) and the gas signal molecule hydrogen sulfide (HS) in Arabidopsis thaliana response to the allelopathy of diterpenoid oridonin. The wild type Arabidopsis Columbia (WT), phospholipase Dα1 (PLDα1) deletion mutant pldα1, D-/L-cysteine desulfyrase synthetic deletion mutant d-cdes and l-cdes seedlings were used as experiment materials, while 60 μmol·L oridonin was applied as treatment concentration. The results showed that oridonin significantly increased HS content, PLD and D-/L-CDes activities, and gene expressions of PLDα1 and D-/L-CDes in WT.

Extensive disseminated cysticercosis is relatively rare and fewer than 120 case have been reported in the worldwide. We reported a rare case of extensive disseminated cysticercosis in Yunan province, China.

A taeniasis/cysticercosis information management system was designed to achieve the dynamic monitoring of the epidemic situation of taeniasis/cysticercosis and improve the intelligence level of disease information management. The system includes three layer structures (application layer, technical core layer, and data storage layer) and designs a datum transmission and remote communication system of traffic information tube in Browser/Server architecture. The system is believed to promote disease datum collection.

The systematic structural evolution of dirhenium halide clusters has not been sufficiently studied and hence is not well-understood. In this work, we report an in-depth investigation on the structures and electronic properties of doubly charged dirhenium halide clusters ReX (X = F, Cl, Br, I).

In this study, a loop-mediated isothermal amplification assay targeting the 16S-23S intergenic spacer regions (internal transcribed spacer) of Aeromonas caviae was developed. Eighteen reference strains and 109 clinical samples were analyzed. The results showed this detection technique is more reliable and convenient compared with common polymerase chain reaction and biochemical culture methods.

It has been reported that nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kappaB) activity is necessary for ASMC proliferation. Further, PAF has been identified as the proximal inducer of NF-kappaB.

Aim: To observe the antiproliferative effect of antisense recombinant adenoviral vector for c-myc on rat thymus lymphocytes.
Methods: Antisense and sense bacterial plasmids for c-myc were constructed. Bacterial plasmids and El detected adenoviral plasmid were cotransfected into 293 cells.

Aim: To evaluate the balance between matrix metalloprotease-9 (MMP-9) and its inhibitor, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1 (TIMP-1) in bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in mice.
Methods: Pulmonary fibrosis model was induced by bleomycin in mice. The histological images of lungs were studied by HE staining.

Aim: To observe the NF-kappaB expression in the lung tissue of LPS-induced acute lung injury(ALI) rat model and the influence of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) on NF-kappaB expression.
Methods: The expression of NF-kappaB in lung tissue in ALI rat model and the influence of NAC on NF-kappaB expression were detected by immunohistochemical (ABC) staining and Western blot.
Results: There were a small amount of sporadic NF-kappaB cells in airway epithelium and interstitium in normal control group.

Aim: To express the fusion protein TGF-betaR II/Fc in large amounts by using recombinant Bac-TR II baculovirus expression system constructed by our laboratory and to purify and characterize it. Then, to verify whether the fusion protein TGF-betaR II/Fc can be able to block the biological activity of cytokine TGF-beta1.
Methods: The viral titer was determined by plaque forming test.
