Aptamers are attractive recognition ligands for sensing proteins due to their favorable affinity, specificity, stability, and easy synthesis. However, it is difficult to detect proteins directly in complex biological samples without sophisticated equipment or tedious sample pretreatment. Herein, we developed a portable electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA) platform for direct protein aptasensing in complex biological samples.

An ideal microcapsule effectively preserves an active substance and can rapidly release it to elicit a self-healing anticorrosion effect. However, the development of highly efficient microcapsules remains a challenge. In this study, polymer/metal-organic framework hybrid microcapsules with dynamic properties were constructed as self-healing anticorrosion coatings.

Due to their recognition abilities and inherent regenerability, aptamers have great potential in biosensing applications. However, effective signal transduction and regeneration strategies are still required. Herein, we develop a melting-based aptamer sensing strategy capable of homogeneous signaling with over 1000 regenerating cycles without significant deterioration of performance.

Hydrophobic antifouling polymers capable of self-healing performance are highly desirable for industrial applications. However, the construction of self-healing, hydrophobic antifouling polymers is challenging considering their complex fouling environments, which are humid in aqueous environment. In this work, a self-healing hydrophobic polymer containing Fe-catechol coordination applicable to antifouling is synthesized.

A strong and tough self-healing composite is fabricated via in situ growth of zeolitic imidazole framework-8 (ZIF-8) nanocrystals in imidazole-containing polymer networks. By adjusting the stoichiometric ratio of the zinc salt to 2-methylimidazole, composites with various mechanical performances are obtained.

Although rapid, large-scale testing plays an important role in patient management and slowing the spread of the disease. However, there has been no good and widely used drug treatment for infection and transmission of SARS-CoV-2.

Both the crystal-field and charge transfer contributions are taken into account in the calculations from the cluster approach. The impurity-ligand bond angles are found to be about 1.

Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is a well-established and efficient method for thermal stability and iron saturation detection in LF. However, multiple DSC measurements are typically performed sequentially, thus time-consuming and low throughput.

However, it remains unknown how their dysfunction induces hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell (HSPC) defects. Here, we show that depletion of / significantly reduced the number of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) in the aorta-gonad mesonephros and caudal hematopoietic tissue regions by impairing HSPC proliferation, and consistently downregulated the expression of HSPC genes in K562 cells.

This study created a library and assembled the chloroplast and mitochondrial genomes of the leafy sweet potato better to understand the extent of mitochondrial and chloroplast gene transfer. The full-length chloroplast genome of the leafy sweet potato (OM808940) is 161,387 bp, with 132 genes annotated, including 87 protein-coding genes, 8 rRNA genes, and 37 tRNA genes.

However, as a complex quantitative trait, understand the genetic mechanism of GWC remains a large gap, especially in hybrids. In this study, a hybrid population through two environments including 442 F1 was used for genome-wide association analysis of GWC and the grain dehydration rate (GDR), using the area under the dry down curve (AUDDC) as the index.

At 48 months of age, one dose of bOPV was administered, and their poliovirus types 1-3 (PV1, PV2, and PV3, respectively)-specific neutralizing antibody levels were determined. Participants found to be negative for any type of PV-specific neutralizing antibody at 24, 36, or 48 months of age were re-vaccinated with inactivated polio vaccine (IPV).

Further, the COVID-19 and influenza mix-infection had caused great distress to the diagnosis of the disease. Plenty of researches have disclosed that circular RNAs, namely circRNAs exert important functions in the progression of various human malignancies including lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Therefore, we attempted to explore whether there existed certain circRNAs that could mediate LUAD development by regulating GSK3B expression and Wnt/β-catenin pathway.

Background: Lisfranc injuries have not received much attention by orthopedic doctors in the past, and there is little related research on the diagnosis and treatment of these injuries. In recent years with the rise in foot and ankle surgery, doctors are now paying more attention to this type of injury. However, there is still a high rate of missed diagnosis due to insufficient attention causing treatment delays or inadequate treatments, which eventually result in greater sequelae; including long-term pain, arthritis, foot deformity .
