Objective: To examine healthcare-seeking delays among immigrant patients with acute ischaemic stroke (AIS), identifying key factors contributing to these delays and proposing evidence-based interventions for policy formulation and research.
Design: A retrospective observational study analysing healthcare-seeking behaviours and delay times among immigrant patients with AIS treated at the Department of Neurology, Longhua District People's Hospital, Shenzhen, from December 2021 to October 2023. The study included 1356 patients with AIS, all part of the immigrant population as defined by Shenzhen Statistical Yearbook criteria.
Surface oxidation effect on photocurrent responsibility was detected in WSeTe nanosheets, and the photocurrent response depends on the light wavelength. It is enhanced at the wavelength of 405 nm, while showing no change at the wavelength of 532 nm and suppressed at the wavelength of 808 nm. The incident photon-to-current efficiency (IPCE) is expected to increase at 405 nm wavelength, remain unchanged at 532 nm wavelength, and decrease at 808 nm wavelength.

This study aims to investigate the effect of essential oil of Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma on microglial pyroptosis and decipher the underlying mechanism. BV-2 cells were treated with 1 μg·mL~(-1) lipopolysaccharide(LPS) and 10 μmol·L~(-1) nigericin sodium salt for the modeling of pyroptosis. The cells were treated with different doses of essential oil of Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma, and then the cell viability and apoptosis were examined by the CCK-8 assay and flow cytometry, respectively.

It encompasses conditions such as fatty liver, alcoholic hepatitis, chronic hepatitis with liver fibrosis or cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Numerous recent studies have demonstrated the critical role of oxidative stress, abnormal lipid metabolism, endoplasmic reticulum stress, various forms of cell death (including apoptosis, necroptosis, and ferroptosis), intestinal microbiota dysbiosis, liver immune response, cell autophagy, and epigenetic abnormalities in the pathogenesis of ALD.

Shenqi Wan (SQW), a traditional Chinese medicinal compound, has demonstrated certain preventive and therapeutic effects on COPD. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain incompletely understood.

However, despite being an efficient plasma etching medium, SF/Ar has remained largely unexplored. In this work, we constructed a DBD plasma device with an SF/Ar gas medium and explored the influence of processing times and gas flow rates on the morphology and surface flashover voltage of epoxy resin.

Given the high mortality rates associated with HBP cancers, which are attributed to aggressive recurrence, metastasis, and poor responses to chemotherapy, exploring microbiome research presents a promising frontier. This research highlights how microbial metabolites, including secondary bile acids, short-chain fatty acids, and lipopolysaccharides, crucially influence cancer cell behaviors such as proliferation, apoptosis, and immune evasion, significantly contributing to the oncogenesis and progression of HBP cancers.

Despite this, there is a lack of understanding regarding their impact on seawater oxygen levels - a crucial element in sustaining biological survival. Here, we find that heatwaves can trigger low-oxygen extreme events, thereby amplifying the signal of deoxygenation.

Using Mendelian randomization (MR), we aim to discover the mediating role of inflammatory factors in the relationship between GM and hydrocephalus.
Methods: After removing confounders, univariable and multivariable MR analyses were performed using summary statistics to assess the causal relationships between GM, inflammatory factors (IL-17A and IL-27), and types of hydrocephalus.
LuxR-type regulators play pivotal roles in regulating numerous bacterial processes, including bacterial motility and virulence, thereby exerting a significant influence on bacterial behavior and pathogenicity. pv. , a rice pathogen, causes bacterial leaf streak.

The leaves of Ampelopsis grossedentata have been considered a popular tea and traditional herbal medicine in China for more than one thousand years, and possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, hepatoprotective, and antiviral activities.
Purpose: We explored the protective effects of Ampelopsis grossedentata extract (AGE) against chronic alcohol-induced hepatic injury (alcoholic liver disease, ALD), aiming to elucidate its underlying mechanisms.
Integration of solar cells and electrochromic windows offers crucial contributions to green buildings. Solar-charging zinc anode-based electrochromic devices (ZECDs) present opportunities for addressing the solar intermittency issue. However, the limited energy storage capacity of ZECDs results in wasted harnessing of solar energy as well as overcharging.

Changes in gut microbiota composition can lead to increased permeability of the gut barrier, allowing bacterial products like lipopolysaccharides (LPS) to enter circulation. This process can initiate systemic inflammation and contribute to neuroinflammation.
