The degree of cognitive impairment in secondary tauopathies such as Alzheimer's disease (AD) correlates with the presence of NFTs, which originally appear in the entorhinal cortex before spreading throughout the hippocampus. In contrast, the degree of hippocampal tau pathology in PSP is thought to be limited, consistent with the view that cognitive impairment in PSP is predominantly subcortical.

Introduction: The effectiveness of AZD7442 (tixagevimab/cilgavimab) against COVID-19 hospitalizations was determined at 3 and 6 months among immunocompromised individuals in Israel during different variant circulations.

Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study using data from Clalit Health Services in Israel. Immunocompromised individuals eligible to receive AZD7442 300 mg between 15 February and 11 December 2022 were identified.

Background: Despite multiple years of government HIV educational efforts, the growing trend of new cases among women in Indonesia runs parallel with their seemingly overall lack of comprehensive knowledge about HIV. Background: Continuing data on racial bias in pulse oximeters and artificial intelligence has sparked calls for health systems to drive innovation against racial bias in healthcare device and artificial intelligence markets by incorporating equity concerns explicitly into purchasing decisions.

Research Question: How do healthcare purchasing professionals integrate equity concerns into purchasing decision-making?

Study Design And Methods: Between 8/2023-3/2024, we conducted semi-structured interviews via videoconferencing with healthcare purchasing professionals about purchasing processes for pulse oximeters and other devices-and whether and where equity concerns arise in decision-making. An abductive approach was used to analyze perspectives on how equity and disparity concerns are currently integrated into healthcare purchasing decision-making.

Background: The psychosocial consequences of tuberculosis (TB) are key barriers to ending TB globally. We evaluated and compared stigma, depression, and quality of life (QoL) among people with TB diagnosed through active (ACF) and passive (PCF) case-finding in Nepal.

Methods: We prospectively recruited adults with TB diagnosed through ACF and PCF in four districts of Nepal between August 2018 and April 2019.

Nanoscale Ferroelectric Programming of van der Waals Heterostructures.

We demonstrate an approach to creating nanoscale potentials in van der Waals layers integrated with a buried programmable ferroelectric layer. Using ultra-low-voltage electron beam lithography (ULV-EBL), we can program the ferroelectric polarization in AlBN (AlBN) thin films, generating structures with sizes as small as 35 nm. We demonstrate the ferroelectric field effect with a graphene/vdW stack on AlBN by creating a p-n junction.

Methods: Patients were included if they had (1) an IgG4-RD diagnosis at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust between February 2017 and October 2022, and (2) >9 months of follow-up data available following the first rituximab dose.
