Purpose: Men with congenital penile curvature (CPC) can develop new onset worsening of their lifelong curvature. We sought to evaluate clinical characteristics and postoperative outcomes after tunica albuginea plication (TAP) in patients presenting with CPC who reported new onset worsened curvature (CPC-WC), and compare these with patients reporting stable lifelong curve ("CPC-only").

Methods: A retrospective review of demographics, history/exam findings, and postoperative outcomes for patients with CPC who underwent TAP from 2012 to 2018 was performed.

Objective Data: The aim of the present systematic review was to investigate the efficacy and safety of cervical ripening for the combination of mechanical dilation and misoprostol administration compared with misoprostol alone by evaluating 2 primary outcomes: time to delivery and rate of cesarean delivery.

Study: The Medline, EMBASE, and Web-of-Science electronic databases (from conception to end-of-search date December 31, 2018) were searched systematically. Randomized controlled trials that included patients with a singleton viable fetus who underwent induction of labor that required cervical ripening with an unfavorable cervix (Bishop ≤7) were eligible for inclusion.

This work examines differences in the work-related values, expectations, and behaviors between millennials who are significant users of technology and social media, and those who are not. We delineate the development of millennial behavior using a unique group of millennials, those in the Ultra-Orthodox Jewish (known as "Haredi") community in Israel. Due to religious and community norms, many Haredi millennials were shielded from digital technology, and particularly the Internet and the various technologies associated with it, such as text messaging and social media.

A Comparison of Hemostatic Patches Versus Pericardium Allograft for the Treatment of Complex Peyronie's Disease With Penile Prosthesis and Plaque Incision.

Objective: To compare outcomes between hemostatic patches (HP) versus pericardium allografts (PA) for complex Peyronie's disease with erectile dysfunction managed with inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) and plaque incision and grafting (PIG).

Methods: We reviewed all men who underwent IPP with PIG for PD at our institution (4/2010-9/2018). PIG was performed via relaxing tunical incisions during IPP implantation following manual modeling if there was persistent curve >30 and/or significant narrowing.

People try to make decisions that will improve their lives and make them happy, and to do so, they rely on affective forecasts-predictions about how future outcomes will make them feel. Decades of research suggest that people are poor at predicting how they will feel and that they commonly overestimate the impact that future events will have on their emotions. The digital revolution made this combination possible, but the commercial viability of these technologies for critical parts may depend on digital process simulations to guide process development, product design, and part qualification. For laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), one must be able to model the behavior of a melt pool produced by a laser moving at a constant velocity over a smooth bare metal surface before taking on the additional complexities of this process.

Phase Fraction and Evolution of Additively Manufactured (AM) 15-5 Stainless Steel and Inconel 625 AM-Bench Artifacts.

A proper understanding of the structure and microstructure of additively manufactured (AM) alloys is essential not only to the prediction and assessment of their material properties, but also to the validation and verification of computer models needed to advance AM technologies. To accelerate AM development, as part of the AM-Bench effort, we conducted rigorous synchrotron-based X-ray scattering and diffraction experiments on two types of AM alloys (AM 15-5 stainless steel and AM Inconel 625). Taking advantage of the high penetration of synchrotron hard X-rays, we determined the phases present in these alloys under different build conditions and their statistically meaningful phase fractions using high-resolution X-ray diffraction.

Inflammation has been linked to several complications in pregnancy, including pregnancy loss. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, aspirin, a widely available and inexpensive therapy, has potential to help mitigate the negative effects of inflammation along the reproductive pathway. Therefore, the Effects of Aspirin in Gestation and Reproduction (EAGeR) trial was designed to elucidate whether preconception-initiated daily low-dose aspirin would increase the live birth rate in women with 1-2 prior pregnancy losses and no infertility diagnosis and attempting unassisted conception.

Using the Probability of Cesarean from a Validated Cesarean Prediction Calculator to Predict Labor Length and Morbidity.

Objective: To determine if increasing predicted risk of cesarean was associated with longer labor length and increased morbidity among women undergoing induction with an unfavorable cervix.

Study Design: Using a publically available database, we evaluated whether a previously validated prediction model for cesarean delivery after induction was associated with labor length, maternal morbidity (third-/fourth-degree lacerations, endometritis, blood transfusion, wound infection, venous thromboembolism, hysterectomy, intensive care unit admission, and death), and neonatal morbidity (blood transfusion, encephalopathy, intraventricular hemorrhage, severe respiratory distress syndrome, necrotizing enterocolitis, and sepsis). Full-term (≥37 weeks) singleton gestations with intact membranes and an unfavorable cervix (Bishop score ≤6 and dilation ≤2 cm) undergoing induction of labor were included.

Peyronie's disease is not a rare disorder, and it can be devastating to the affected man. Although the gold-standard treatment of Peyronie's disease is surgery in the stable phase, nonoperative management is preferred by some men and is the only treatment option in the acute phase of the disease, when surgery is contraindicated. No oral or topical therapy has been shown to be efficacious when administered alone, but some evidence supports their use as part of a combination therapy regimen.

Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a new penile traction device (PTD), 'Penimaster PRO', in a group of patients with stable Peyronie's disease (PD) compared with a non-intervention group in a multicentre study.

Material And Methods: A total of 93 patients with chronic stable PD (without erectile dysfunction, with no significant pain, and with a unidirectional curvature of at least 45° being stable for > 3 months) were recruited and followed for a 12-week period. This work reports a harmonic-rejection scheme based on the combination of Si(111) monochromator and Si(220) harmonic-rejection crystal optics. This approach is of importance to a wide range of X-ray applications in all three major branches of modern X-ray science (scattering, spectroscopy, imaging) based at major facilities, and especially relevant to the capabilities offered by the new diffraction-limited storage rings. Limited success with clostridium collagenase histolyticum following FDA approval for the treatment of Peyronie's disease.

Collagenase clostridium histolyticum (CCH) was approved for the treatment of Peyronie's disease (PD) in December of 2013. Recently, further research has supported its use.
