Objective: To describe the safety and feasibility of a fast-track pathway for neurosurgical craniotomy patients receiving care in a neurosciences progressive care unit (NPCU).
Patients And Methods: Traditionally, most craniotomy patients are admitted to the neurosciences intensive care unit (NSICU) for postoperative follow-up. Decreased availability of NSICU beds during the coronavirus disease-2019 delta surge led our team to establish a de-novo NPCU to preserve capacity for patients requiring high level of care and would bypass routine NSICU admissions.
With the advancements in modern medicine, new methods are being developed to monitor patients in the intensive care unit. Different modalities evaluate different aspects of the patient's physiology and clinical status. The complexity of these modalities often restricts their use to the realm of clinical research, thereby limiting their use in the real world.

Introduction: Brown-Séquard syndrome is a rare neurological disorder due to hemisection of the spinal cord that can occur from a variety of causes, most commonly trauma.
Case Report: We present a case of a 25-year-old woman presenting with Brown-Séquard syndrome as her first clinical presentation of multiple sclerosis.
Conclusion: This case highlights the need to have demyelinating disease on the differential as an exceedingly rare, but important, possible cause of Brown-Séquard syndrome.
Background: There is considerable controversy surrounding the optimal use of sedation in patients with acute ischemic stroke undergoing mechanical thrombectomy. Several retrospective studies have favored conscious sedation (CS) over general anesthesia (GA) in terms of functional outcomes and mortality. Although symptoms of autonomic dysfunction have been well described among those with migraine, the presence and relative severity of such symptoms among those with PPTH have yet to be reported.
Objective: The objective of this study was to assess and compare symptoms of autonomic dysfunction among those with PPTH attributed to mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) vs migraine vs healthy controls using Composite Autonomic Symptom Score 31 (COMPASS-31) questionnaire scores.
During a routine dissection of a 51-year-old Caucasian male cadaver, bilateral symmetrical supernumerary heads (SH) of the biceps brachii muscles with insertion into the pectoralis major (PM) muscles were discovered. Multiple case reports have documented supernumerary heads for the biceps brachii; however, none have shown bilateral insertion into the pectoralis major. This study describes a previously undocumented variation of the SH that has potential for clinical impact.

The developed approach, multireference ccCA, has been utilized to compute the potential energy surfaces (PESs) of N(2) and C(2), which provide rigorous tests for multireference composite methods due to the large multireference character that must be correctly described as the molecules dissociate. As well, PESs provide a stringent test of a composite method because all components of the method must work in harmony for an appropriate, smooth representation across the entire surface.
