High-energy nuclear collisions create a quark-gluon plasma, whose initial condition and subsequent expansion vary from event to event, impacting the distribution of the eventwise average transverse momentum [P([p_{T}])]. Disentangling the contributions from fluctuations in the nuclear overlap size (geometrical component) and other sources at a fixed size (intrinsic component) remains a challenge. This problem is addressed by measuring the mean, variance, and skewness of P([p_{T}]) in ^{208}Pb+^{208}Pb and ^{129}Xe+^{129}Xe collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.

We hypothesized that greater pre-surgery distress would correlate with higher post-surgery regret. This evaluation was based on a retrospective case series from an institution with standardized surgical guidelines for ASD.

If observed, these rare processes would provide a unique test bench for the quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism used to calculate cross sections at colliders. Additionally, at future colliders, these decays could offer a new way to measure the W boson mass through fully reconstructed decay products.

Methods: We collected clinical, demographic, histologic, surgical and follow-up data for patients with ovarian cancer aged ≥80 years from a multicenter French cohort (FRANCOGYN) who underwent surgery from 1999 to 2019. Primary endpoints were overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS).
Unlabelled: We have created a precisely pegylated IL-2 [SAR-444245 (SAR'245) or pegenzileukin, previously THOR-707] designed for proliferation of target CD8+ T and NK cells for anticancer activity, with minimal expansion of anti-target regulatory CD4+ T cells (Treg) that counter their action, or eosinophils that trigger vascular leak syndrome (VLS). We performed in vivo studies in nonhuman primates (NHP) to monitor the safety of SAR'245, pharmacokinetic profile, and pharmacodynamic parameters including expansion of peripheral CD8+ T and NK cells, and effects on Tregs and eosinophils. Studies included multiple ascending dosing and repeat dosing with different regimens (QW, Q2W, Q3W and Q4W).

This Letter presents results from a combination of searches for Higgs boson pair production using 126-140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector. At 95% confidence level (CL), the upper limit on the production rate is 2.9 times the standard model (SM) prediction, with an expected limit of 2.

The dataset used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector. Two fiducial regions with an enhanced presence of events featuring two longitudinally polarized bosons are defined.

Particularly challenging is the instrumentation of pedicles with small or absent cancellous channels (Watanabe types C and D pedicles), commonly found at the apex of large curves where precise screw placement is crucial for effective deformity correction. 3D-printed pedicle screw drill guides (3DPSG) may assist in accurately placing pedicle screws while minimally disrupting the standard ASD surgery workflow.

No primary study has calculated the baseline range of ODI values in the diverse American population. Establishing age-adjusted normative values for ODI in the American population is crucial for assessing the utility of treatment strategies.

Indeed, if used in electrical machines, HTS materials can drastically improve their performance in terms of the power-to-weight ratio. Among the different topologies of superconducting electrical machines, a flux modulation machine based on HTS bulks is of interest for its compactness and light weight.

Searches targeting pure-wino chargino pair production, pure-wino chargino-neutralino production, or Higgsino production decaying via standard model W, Z, or h bosons are combined to extend the mass reach to the produced supersymmetric particles by 30-100 GeV. The depth of the sensitivity of the original searches is also improved by the combinations, lowering the 95% C.

Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusions (TLIFs) are performed for various lumbar spine pathologies. Posterior migration of an interbody cage is a complication that may result in neurologic injury and require reoperation. Sparse information exists regarding the safety and efficacy of a transdural approach for cage retrieval.

We present a theoretical study of the magnetic properties for the pyrochlore-like NaCuFcompound, which surprisingly experience little or no frustration. The magnetic effective exchange interactions were calculated usingmethods explicitly treating the electronic correlation. A model Hamiltonian (quantum Heisenberg Hamiltonian, and for comparison a spin 1/2 Ising Hamiltonian) was built from these interactions and used to determine the zero temperature magnetic order versus magnetic field.

Objective: The opioid epidemic continues to be at the forefront of public health. As a response to this crisis, many statewide and national medical groups have sought to develop opioid-prescribing guidelines for both acute and chronic pain states. Given the lack of evidence in the neurosurgical landscape, the authors' institution implemented opioid-prescribing guidelines for common outpatient spinal procedures in 2017, subsequently demonstrating a significant reduction in the narcotics prescribed.
