While the recent COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus resulted in a temporary interruption of the treatments for patients, it provided an excellent opportunity to assess the long-term sustainability of the treatment, and the feasibility of resuming the treatments after a brief period of interruption as no such data are available in current literature.
Methods: First, a list of patients whose pain/headache conditions have been stably controlled with either treatment for at least 6 months prior to the 3-month pandemic-related shutdown was generated.
Background And Aims: With an increasing number of Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) addressing primary prevention of food allergy and atopic dermatitis, it is timely to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the quality and consistency of recommendations and evaluation of their implementability in different geographical settings.
Methods: We systematically reviewed CPGs from 8 international databases and extensive website searches. Seven reviewers screened records in any language and then used the AGREE II and AGREE REX instruments to critically appraise CPGs published between January 2011 and April 2022.
Background: Interprofessional education (IPE) has been promoted as a breakthrough in healthcare because of the impact when professionals work as a team. However, despite its inception dating back to the 1960s, its science has taken a long time to advance. There is a need to theorize IPE to cultivate creative insights for a nuanced understanding of IPE.

Methods: This pilot randomised controlled trial was conducted from May to December 2018. Twenty-six women aged 18 or above who had completed treatment for gynaecological cancer were recruited from a gynaecology outpatient clinic of a public hospital in Hong Kong.
While early gastrostomy tube placement (GTP) may decrease hospital length of stay and facilitate disposition, GTP may be unnecessary as some patients regain the ability to eat earlier than expected. No guidelines currently exist regarding optimal GTP timing or minimum duration of need indicating appropriateness of GTP. This retrospective (9/2017-12/2019) single center study evaluated the incidence of adequate (>75%) oral caloric intake (ACI) after GTP during index hospitalization and associated characteristics before discharge.

Context: Although iodine-induced hyperthyroidism is a potential consequence of iodinated radiologic contrast administration, its association with long-term cardiovascular outcomes has not been previously studied.
Objective: To investigate the relationships between hyperthyroidism observed after iodine contrast administration and incident atrial fibrillation/flutter.
Methods: Retrospective cohort study of the U.
Background: Epidemiological studies have demonstrated a wide, unexplained disparity in the prevalence of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) subtypes depending on geographical location, ethnicity and other factors. Enthesitis-related arthritis (ERA) is more prevalent in Southeast Asia. Axial involvement in ERA patients is increasingly recognised to occur early in the disease course.

Since the diagnosis is mainly clinical, physicians should be well-versed in the clinical manifestations of erythema infectiosum to avoid misdiagnosis, unnecessary investigations, and mismanagement of the disease.

PAR also serves as a scaffold for protein binding in macromolecular complexes, including biomolecular condensates. It remains unclear how PAR achieves specific molecular recognition.

In 2017, the American Academy of Pediatrics published updated guidelines in Clinical Practice Guideline for Screening and Management of High Blood Pressure in Children and Adolescents (AAP 2017), followed by Hypertension Canada in 2020 with its publication of Comprehensive Guidelines for the Prevention, Diagnosis, Risk Assessment, and Treatment of Hypertension in Adults and Children (HC 2020). This study compares national child and adolescent hypertension prevalence estimates based on NHBPEP 2004, AAP 2017 and HC 2020.

It retains core features of JBrowse while adding new views for synteny, dotplots, breakpoints, gene fusions, and whole-genome overviews. It allows users to share sessions, open multiple genomes, and navigate between views.

Malignant cells are hypomethylated and contain less genomic 5-methylcytosine (5mC). Validating a test that recognizes and quantifies aberrantly hypomethylated cells in sputum, we assessed its potential as a screening tool for detecting early-stage non-small cell lung cancer.

Objective: This study investigated the association between early-life HMO intake and allergy occurrence in Chinese children.
Methods: 103 healthy Chinese pregnant women regardless of allergy history were recruited into this birth cohort.
Chiropractic treatment in Hong Kong has demonstrated high effectiveness in cases where traditional therapies have failed, with minimal associated adverse events. The growing aging population, prevalence of disabilities, and musculoskeletal conditions have increased the demand for rehabilitation services. Over the past few years, the chiropractic profession has raised awareness of treatment benefits.

However, it remains unclear which patients benefit from CA because only level 3 evidence exists.
Methods: This prospective observational multicenter (18LI, 2LII) analysis included patients 15 years or older with extremity vascular injuries requiring operative management.
Background: The current diagnostics of fish allergy lack sufficient accuracy such that more reliable tests such as component-resolved diagnosis (CRD) are urgently needed. This study aimed at identifying fish allergens of salmon and grass carp and evaluating the sensitization pattern in fish allergic subjects from two distinct populations in Asia.
Methods: One hundred and three fish allergic subjects were recruited from Hong Kong (67 subjects) and Japan (46 subjects).
