- This study investigated four different spinal anaesthesia protocols using levobupivacaine to evaluate their effectiveness on red-footed tortoises during procedures.
- Findings indicate that a dose of 1.15 mg/kg of levobupivacaine 0.37% is suitable for shorter procedures, while 1.15 mg/kg of levobupivacaine 0.75% is better for longer ones, with weight-based dosing proving more effective than size-based dosing.
Integrative medicine has gained space in veterinary medicine and hydrotherapy is mainly used as an adjunct on the treatment of neurological and musculoskeletal diseases. Use of this therapeutic modality in wild animals has seldom been reported. This article describes the use of hydrotherapy in two Callithrix penicillata patients with metabolic bone disease.
